Transitive partially hyperbolic diffeomorphisms on 3-manifolds

Abstract The known examples of transitive partially hyperbolic diffeomorphisms on 3-manifolds belong to 3 basic classes: perturbations of skew products over an Anosov map of T 2 , perturbations of the time one map of a transitive Anosov flow, and certain derived from Anosov diffeomorphisms of the torus T 3 . In this work we characterize the two first types by a local hypothesis associated to one closed periodic curve.

Coincidence and fixed points for contractions and cyclical contractions in partial metric spaces

Abstract We prove some coincidence and common fixed point results for three mappings satisfying a generalized weak contractive condition in ordered partial metric spaces. As application of the presented results, we give a unique fixed point result for a mapping satisfying a weak cyclical contractive condition. We also provide some illustrative examples. Local dimensions of measures on infinitely generated self-affine sets

2014

We show the existence of the local dimension of an invariant probability measure on an infinitely generated self-affine set, for almost all translations. This implies that an ergodic probability measure is exactly dimensional. Furthermore the local dimension equals the minimum of the local Lyapunov dimension and the dimension of the space. We also give an estimate, that holds for all translation vectors, with only assuming the affine maps to be contractive.

On multiples of divisors associated to Veronese embeddings with defective secant variety

In this note we consider multiples aD, where D is a divisor of the blow-up of P^n along points in general position which appears in the Alexander and Hirschowitz list of Veronese embeddings having defective secant varieties. In particular we show that there is such a D with h^1(X,D) > 0 and h^1(X,2D) = 0.

Development of an earth observation processing chain for crop bio-physical parameters at local scale

This paper proposes a full Earth observation processing chaing for biophysical parameter estimation at local scales. In particular, we focus on the Leaf Area Index (LAI) as an essential climate variable required for the monitoring and modeling of land surfaces at local scale. The main goal of this study is tied to the use of optical satellite images to retrieve Earth Observation (EO) biophysical parameters able to describe the spatio-temporal changes in agro-ecosystems at local scale. The preparation and structural characterization of three new copper(II) complexes of formula [Cu(3)(dipyatriz)(2)(H(2)O)(3)](ClO(4))(6) x 2 H(2)O (1), {[Cu(4)(dipyatriz)(2)(H(2)O)(2)(NO(3))(2)(ox)(2)](NO(3))(2) x 2 H(2)O}(n) (2), and [Cu(6)(dipyatriz)(2)(H(2)O)(9)(NO(3))(3)(ox)(3)](NO(3))(3) x 4 H(2)O (3) [dipyatriz = 2,4,6-tris(di-2-pyridylamine)-1,3,5-triazine and ox = oxalate] are reported.
