The purpose of this study was to i) examine reliability and construct validity of the pictorial scale of Perceived Movement Skill Competence (PMSC) aligned to the third version of the Test of Gross Motor Development (TGMD-3) in a sample of Spanish children; and to ii) analyse the validity of the PMSC and children’s perceived motor competence (MC) according to gender. International audience; The article examines how Death Proof (Tarantino, 2007) subverts both gender and genre by mixing several genres (the slasher, the car movie, the buddy movie) generally considered to be male, either at the diegetic level (e.g. the main characters) or at the level of reception (i.e. the target audience). The film's play on gender and genre, which is clearly based on the idea that film genres are gendered, is, then, enabled by the very discursivity of these norms. Longitudinal and cross-sectional associations of adherence to 24-hour movement guidelines with cardiometabolic risk

This study aimed to examine 1) adherence to 24-hour movement guidelines over a 2-year follow-up in children aged 6-8 years and 2) association of this adherence with cardiometabolic risk factors. Physical activity and sleep were assessed by a monitor combining heart rate and accelerometry measurements. Screen time was reported by the parents. Body fat percentage, waist circumference, blood glucose, serum insulin, plasma lipids and blood pressure were assessed, and a cardiometabolic risk score was calculated using z-scores. Tutkielmassa tarkastellaan amerikkalaista televisiosarjaa Gilmoren tytöt (engl. Gilmore Girls), joka kuvaa yksinhuoltajaäidin ja tämän tyttären elämää idyllisessä pikkukaupungissa. Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena on tarkastella strategista vuorovaikutusta sarjan henkilöhahmojen kesken keskittyen pääsääntöisesti Brownin ja Levinsonin kohteliaisuusteoriaan sekä Gilmore-ismeinä tunnettuihin puhekielen viittauksiin.
