Silto acu komprešu ietekme uz acs asaru slāņa īpašībām

Pētījuma mērķis bija novērtēt silto komprešu terapijas efektivitāti uz asaru slāņa īpašībām pacientiem ar sausas acs subjektīvo simptomātiku. 18 pētījuma dalībniekieki, lietojot TheraPearl acu maskas divas reizes dienā no rīta un vakarā pa 5 vai 10 minūtēm, veica silto komprešu terapiju 14 dienu periodā. Diagnostikie mērījumi pirms terapijas, pēc terapijas un trīs nedēļas pēc terapijas beigām tika veikti asaru slāņa īpašību novērtēšanai. Dalībnieki pēc terapijas uzrādīja ievērojamu OSDI un DEQ-5 anketu rezultāta uzlabošanos un uzlabojums saglabājās arī trīs nedēļas pēc terapijas beigām. Pēc terapijas netika novērots statiski būtisks uzlabojums neinvazīvajā asaru slāņa plīšanas laikā (NIBUT).

Biometric parameters of the Asteroid echinoderm Marthasterias glacialis (L.) were measured at Ustica Island MPA (SW Tyrrhenian Sea). Wet weight was correlated with tip-to-tip (arm-span) diameter, central disk, arm length, arm width and arm height. Results show high positive correlation between weight and arm height, suggesting a new useful method to estimate starfish size also for in situ measurements.

This research investigated the congruence between the ideologies of political parties and the ideological preferences (N = 1515), moral intuitions (N = 1048), and political values and worldviews (N = 1345) of diverse samples of Swedish adults who voted or intended to vote for the parties. Logistic regression analyses yielded support for a series of hypotheses about variations in ideology beyond the left-right division. The aim of the research was to describe the relationship between attitudes toward globalization and life satisfaction and identity processes in the group of young adults. The sample included of 403 people at the age of 19–35 (M = 22.84, SD = 2.81), 219 women (54.3%) and 184 men. The relations were measured with the use of three questionnaires: Questionnaire of Attitudes Toward Globalization (Senejko, Łoś, 2016), Questionnaire of Identity Formation by A. Oleszkowicz, A. Celem pracy było rozpoznanie wpływu zanieczyszczeń komunikacyjnych na glebę i roślinność uprawnianą przy pasie drogowym. Zanieczyszczenia te, to nie tylko spaliny, ale również pyły powstające w wyniku tarcia opon o nawierzchnie drogi, płyny wyciekające z nieszczelnych instalacji oraz śmieci wyrzucane przez kierowców w trakcie jazdy. Roślina bytująca w takim środowisku, jest narażona na liczne stresy i uszkodzenia. Główną przyczyną wpływającą niekorzystnie na rozwój roślin, a nawet powodującą ich śmierć, jest potęgujące się stale zanieczyszczenie powietrza, zwłaszcza w rejonach śródmiejskich jak i wzdłuż obciążonych tras komunikacyjnych.
