In Portugal and in its former colonies, the expression "constitucionalismo outorgado » is part of the constitutional vocabulary since the granting of the Charter of 1826. The French inspiration is obvious ; however, no equivalent expression exists in France. This curiosity leads to measure all the ambiguity of the concept of "granted constitutionalism", an improbable oxymoron according to the president of the Portuguese Republic, Teófilo Braga. Is it about a simple political and linguistic claim, a temporary compromise at the end of a frustrated Revolution? Or does it translate a deeper program, to reconcile both sides of the constitutionalism, ancient and modern ?

Divine love is the central theme of many ancient Mesopotamian compositions. Both Sumerian and Akkadian texts poetically describe the love and sexual relationship between gods. The object of this study is to analyse, through a gender and anthropological perspective, the metaphorical language used to describe divine love relationships, focusing on the use of images from agriculture, pastoralism, and the plant world. Treść artykułu zawiera teologiczną i filologiczną analizę fragmentu Mowy 38, 11 (powtórzenie tego tekstu znajduje się w Mowie 45, 7), w którym Grzegorz z Nazjanzu przedstawił opis stworzenia człowieka. Jego pouczenia, które kierował do swoich słuchaczy, mają charakter homiletycznego wyjaśnienia, stąd też mówca nie wchodzi w obszar ścisłej teologii, a jedynie w przystępny sposób podaje zasadniczy przekaz biblijnej prawdy. Godard's Histoire(s) du cinéma is a film realized using found footages between 1989 and 1998. It celebrates the "end" of the XXI century and of the artistic form which better represented it: cinema. This essay aims to investigate the idea of "apocalypse" as it emerges from the film, in light of Godard's interpretation of such important historical moment.

Pope Francis in the bull Misericordiae vultus encouraged to reflect on the meaning of God’s mercy in human history and the practice of Christian charity in life. According to the papal encouragement this article reflects on the content of the notion of God’s mercy. It focuses on these aspects which proved to be essential in the papal bull. The analyses performed are made from a theological perspective; they are therefore an attempt of interpretation, justification, and systematization of the content of the papal statements about mercy.
