Accurate detection and characterization of corner points using circular statistics and fuzzy clustering

Accurate detection and characterization of corner points in grey level images is considered as a pattern recognition problem. The method considers circular statistic tests to detect 2D features. A fuzzy clustering algorithm is applied to the edge orientations near the prospective corners to detect and classify them. The method is based on formulating hypotheses about the distribution of these orientations around an edge, corner or other 2-D feature. The method may provide accurate estimates of the direction of the edges that converge in a corner, along with their confidence intervals. Minēta Leipcigas kauja (Bataille de Leipzig), arī Tautu kauja (Völkerschlacht bei Leipzig, Битва народов), kas bija nozīmīga kauja pret Napoleona Bonaparta spēkiem no 1813. gada 16. oktobra līdz 19. oktobrim. Kauja norisinājās Saksijas karalistē, pie Leipcigas. Tajā Sestā koalīcija (Krievijas Impērija, Austrijas impērija, Prūsijas karaliste un Zviedrija) pieveica Napoleona spēkus un pēc kaujas Napoleons zaudēja kontroli pār teritorijām uz austrumiem no Reinas. Intraprocedural transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) guidance plays an essential role in transcatheter repair therapy of the tricuspid valve (TV). So far, several different imaging concepts are in use. We propose an imaging protocol that fully addresses the morphological complexity of the TV and further offers efficacious workarounds for the frequently occurring restrictions of TV imaging in edge-to-edge repair of the TV. To honour the battle of 27 May 1860, in 1910 the Palermo City Government decided to realise a commemorative monument. A position at the centre of a large circular plaza was of have afforded the monument a greater solemnity. The commission for the Monument was awarded to Ernesto Basile. In 1927 the City Government decided to dedicate the monument to the Fallen and asked Basile to complete the monument adding an architectural backdrop. Depth Enhancement by Fusion for Passive and Active Sensing

This paper presents a general refinement procedure that enhances any given depth map obtained by passive or active sensing. Given a depth map, either estimated by triangulation methods or directly provided by the sensing system, and its corresponding 2-D image, we correct the depth values by separately treating regions with undesired effects such as empty holes, texture copying or edge blurring due to homogeneous regions, occlusions, and shadowing. In this work, we use recent depth enhancement filters intended for Time-of-Flight cameras, and adapt them to alternative depth sensing modalities, both active using an RGB-D camera and passive using a dense stereo camera.
