The boom in Chinese contemporary art is the result of China’s opening to foreign investment and private entrepreneurship in 1978, and the significant contribution by the transnational art enterprises of long-term patron-investor-collectors, such as Uli Sigg and Guy Ullens, between approximately 1989 and 2013. Through the opportunity offered by the gap between the private market mechanism and national heritage process for the “art game”, these investors used a variation of the controversial “Saatchi model” to generate high ROI. In vitro and in vivo antileishmanial and trypanocidal studies of new N-benzene- and N-naphthalenesulfonamide derivatives.

We report in vivo and in vitro antileishmanial and trypanocidal activities of a new series of N-substituted benzene and naphthalenesulfonamides 1-15. Compounds 1-15 were screened in vitro against Leishmania infantum , Leishmania braziliensis , Leishmania guyanensis , Leishmania amazonensis , and Trypanosoma cruzi . Sulfonamides 6e, 10b, and 10d displayed remarkable activity and selectivity toward T. cruzi epimastigotes and amastigotes. 6e showed significant trypanocidal activity on parasitemia in a murine model of acute Chagas disease. Guianese culture and traditional music, here evoked, are various. It is more a transcultural process that, along centuries, gave an original result born in the Americas, in Guiana in this case. It is a form of refoundation, of recreation of cultures and new human beings generally called Creoles. The musical performance, that I study here, is the echo of social and cultural space of this reformulation of thought, life, and conception of the world. It is, as well, a mean of transposition and transformation of the values issued of diverse sources and categories. Nel 1828, a Mana in Guyana, Anne-Marie Javouhey fu l’artefice di un esperimento societario complesso, tra suggestioni del socialismo utopistico e riduzioni gesuite del XVII secolo, che sarebbe diventato un laboratorio per il riscatto degli europei emarginati e per l’emancipazione dei neri d’Africa portati nelle colonie. In 1828, in Mana, in French Guyana, Anne-Marie Javouhey was the maker of a complex society experiment, between suggestions of utopian socialism and Jesuit reductions of the seventeenth century, which would become a laboratory for the redemption of marginalized Europeans and for the emancipation of the blacks of Africa brought to the colonies.

En el present article s’aborda la confl uencia entre l’autor nord-america Edgar Allan Poe (1809-1849) i l’autor frances Guy de Maupassant (1850-1893), que, a pesar d’estar adscrits a tendencies literaries divergents (romanticisme enfront de realisme/naturalisme), van compartir interessos tematics i formals inequivocs en l’ambit del relat.
