Prologue to the Spanish translation of Michael Dummett, Origins of analitical philosophy
2020
After an examination of the motivations behind the writing of 'Origins of analitical philosophy,' the discussion moves on to themes which are central to Dummett's book such as: the priority thesis, the linguistic turn, the comparison between some important aspects of Frege's and Husserl's philosophies, the relationship between language and thought. The Prologue ends with an examination of the Dummettian concept of proto-thought, as a thought whose vehicle is not language, which seems to open the way for the use of the empirical sciences in the construction of a theory of thought. This, of course, could have, for Dummett, at least one unwelcome conseguence: a strong drive to produce a philos…

Jean-Paul Sartre tra fenomenologia e psicologia
2017
Phenomenology and psychology are two fundamental disciplines of culture in the 20th century. The phenomenology of Husserl was assimilated by Sartre at the beginning of the century, until the publication of L’être et le néant (1943). In fact, studies of Sartre’s works demonstrate that his philosophy of existence is closely linked to transcendental phenomenology and psychology. Furthermore, the key words of “being” and “nothing” allow one to follow the evolution of Sartre’s thinking from the philosophy of existence to Marxism. In this sense, the historical materialism exhibited in the Critique de la raison dialectique (1960) can be understood as social psychology in the context of human histo…

2020
This article explores the question of the importance of the phenomenological method in Karl Jaspers’ psychopathological writings and highlights a deep continuity between the human understanding of the early writings and his later existential philosophy. Already in Zur Analyse der Trugwahrnehmungen applies Jaspers' interest to the human being as a whole and at the same time to the subtle differentiation of human destinies. This anticipates the dialectic between plurality and unity, which will characterize his philosophical approach in Psychologie der Weltanschauungen. In order to do justice to the tension between totality and particularity of human life, both in the theoretical and in the th…
Verità ed evidenza: radici di un’etica fenomenologica
2020
The paper discusses the problem of the relationship between ethics and truth starting from a critique of the contemporary paradigm of post-truth. The opposition between objectivity and subjectivism that is the basis of this paradigm is questioned by inserting the medium term of objectivity as fairness. The truth is thus recovered as an exceding dimension that can never be completely owned. To illustrate this point, I therefore resort to the phenomenological theory of evidence, retracing its development in Edmund Husserl’s texts from the Sixth Logical Research to Formal and Transcendental Logic to the Cartesian Meditations. Thereby, it becomes gradually clear how the evidence is connected to…
