Gogol' "Ivan Fedorovic Sponka i ego tetuska", mirando ad evidenziare le peculiarità di un eroe che si caratterizza per l'inerzia che distingue la sua esistenza incolore. L'analisi testuale si divide in due parti: nella prima si evidenziano i procedimenti autoriali che marcano il contrasto fra l'immobilità di questo antieroe e il dinamismo di ciò che lo circonda, al fine di far emergere il vuoto esitenziale di questo antieroe. Background: Advanced heart failure (HF) is a progressive disease with high mortality and limited medical therapeutic options. Long-term mechanical circulatory support and heart transplantation remain goldstandard treatments for these patients; however, access to these therapies is limited by the advanced age and multiple comorbidities of affected patients, as well as by the limited number of organs available. Bakalaura darba „Sievietes raganas tēls Jurgas Ivanauskaites romānā „ Ragana un lietus” un Jāņa Mauliņa romānā „ Ragana”” mērķis ir apkopot informāciju par autoriem, atklāt nozīmīgākos darbus un sabiedrības viedokli par viņiem, skatīt sievietes raganas tēla nozīmi mitoloģijā, kristietībā un simbolismā. Par uzdevumiem izvirzot romānu sieviešu tēlu analīzi, skatot arī priekšstatus par raganām gan mūsdienās, gan mitoloģijā, gan kristietībā, gan simboliskajā nozīmē. Tika secināts, ka vārda ragana etimoloģija ir indoeiropeiskas cilmes, kā arī šis vārds mitoloģijā jau senatnē tiek saistīts ar kristīgo nozīmi.

BACKGROUND: beta-blockers in ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) are indicated for patients without a contraindication, particularly in patients with high heart rates (HR) or blood pressures. Epidemiological studies have shown that elevated HR represents a risk factor for cardiovascular morbidity. The study investigates the feasibility, tolerability, and the effects after 30 days of follow-up of ivabradine (IVA) versus metoprolol (METO) in early phases of anterior STEMI reperfused by percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Listeria species in raw and ready-to-eat foods from restaurants.

From September 1999 to March 2000, meat (pork, beef, and chicken), fish (salmon, hake, and sole), vegetable (lettuce and spinach), and Spanish potato omelette samples obtained at restaurants were collected and tested for the occurrence of Listeria spp. Listeria monocytogenes was isolated from 3 (2.9%) out of 103 studied samples. Other species isolated were Listeria grayi (13.6%), Listeria innocua (1.9%), Listeria ivanovii (5.8%), Listeria seeligeri (3.9%), and Listeria welshimeri (1.9%). Listeria was neither isolated from beef nor any type of fish.

Atrastie priekšmeti liecina, ka Studentu karcerī ieslēgtie studenti spēja apiet Rīgas Politehnikuma Studentu disciplinēšanas regulā noteikto sodu par smēķēšanu. Priekšmeti arī ir Latvijas industriālās vēstures atstāts mantojums, kas liecina par Baltijas reģiona nozīmi Krievijas impērijas rūpniecības attīstībā.
