Learning Psychology and becoming psychologists: developing professional identity through group experiential learning

International audience; n this paper, we describe the advantages of an experiential training group, specifically conceived for psychology students, in which the goal was to activate reflection on the internalized social representations of professional identity. Our study showed the results of a pre-post comparison of a one-group intervention. Learner identity in EFL: An analysis of digital texts of identity in higher education

This study explores learner identity (LI) in digital texts of identity (DTI) produced by college learners in English as a foreign language (EFL). In so doing, it aims to shed light on learners’ connections of their learning experiences across time and settings, and their impact on the various learner identities that form their LI. Abjection and alterity in the imagining of transgender in physical education and sport: a pedagogical approach in higher education

In physical education (PE) and sports there is little theoretical and empirical knowledge about transgender people, and particularly, on how they are and can be imagined within this context. In this paper, we present and analyze a pedagogical activity based on the reading and discussion of a fictional representation of a transgender person within a group of undergraduate students of Sport Sciences. On the graded identities and cocharacters of the algebra of 3×3 matrices

Abstract Let M2,1(F) be the algebra of 3×3 matrices over an algebraically closed field F of characteristic zero with non-trivial Z 2 -grading. We study the graded identities of this algebra through the representation theory of the hyperoctahedral group Z 2 ∼S n . After splitting the space of multilinear polynomial identities into the sum of irreducibles under the Z 2 ∼S n -action, we determine all the irreducible Z 2 ∼S n -characters appearing in this decomposition with non-zero multiplicity. Entangled into Histories or the Narrative Grounds of Multiple Realities

What is the relation between the imaginary and the real constituting our paramount reality? The article approaches the cleavage between fiction and facts by interrogating the genesis of meaning as this genesis is brought about by fictitious works of memory and commemoration. Narrative structures prove to be the intersubjective ground for comprehensive action insofar narration mediates between past and future, and thus gives way to appresent the non-present in collective actions. Further on, narratively we are bound to life world and are indebted to it with an ethical strain of our Self as we gain our identity exactly by narration.

Abstract In the aftermath of what was then the Great War several European countries like Finland, Estonia and Latvia gained independence, marking their centenary jubilees 2017–2018. This paper observes how landscapes were used in anniversary celebrations and what historical themes were foregrounded and which omitted, revealing how collective historical commemoration in landscape enacts within national identity framework depending also on how landscape is understood in each respective country.
