virtual communities, social networks and resistant fragments: young sicilian gays’ identity counter-attack

2002

Society is made of communications and representations: the core of its dynamics is culture and its patterns. Human beings are the authors of this significant web, i.e. culture; they are the authors and the victims at the same time. Social exclusions as norms and values — an ice–cream as a porn movie — are embedded in this culture web, as the anthropologist Clifford Geertz would say; and culture is the nature, the most appropriate environment of human interactions. A human being, her feelings, thoughts, dogma, creations, his/her own physical expression become a matter of culture, representations and perceptions. She creates paradise and hell, she is her own angel, her own devil. Sexual moral…

Superhéros et identités nationales : de l'adhésion à la subversion

2021

The aim of this lecture was first to explore the issues around the figure of the superhero – its origins, definition, and its status in academia – and to expose the relation between the representation of superheroes and American national identities. The lecture then consisted in a diachronic analysis of emblematic superheroes (in novels, comics, and movies) in relation to the major conflicts involving the United States in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, conflicts which redefined American identities (the First and Second World Wars, the Vietnam war, and the ‘war on terror’). The following works were mentioned: A Princess of Mars, Edgar Rice Burroughs, 1912 ; Captain America Comics …

2019

This groundbreaking study focuses on the link between music-therapy and narrativity in a pediatric hematology-oncology unit. The goal is to observe and analyse the psychic processes in this therapeutic mediation. We aim to study the creative processes through the narrative productions of a sick and hospitalized teenagers. The interest of this original work with regard to previous research is to focus on the internal mechanisms of the patient and his narrative identity rather than on the active ingredient and the therapeutic method itself or its effect on a particular symptom. Dynamique de l'identité européenne

2007

This study is a theorical investigation concerning European identity. The research context is social identity theory (SIT, Tajfel & Turner, 1986), self categorization theory (SCT, Turner, Oakes, Reicher & Wetherell, 1987) and their recent developments. We principally argue that transnational categories are more important to reinforce European entativity than geographical cognitive levels of inclusiveness generally considered.

L’identità sessuale LGBTQI+. Processi sottesi tra vissuti e percezioni degli adolescenti

2022

Adolescence is one of the phases of the family life cycle which is characterized by a fluctuating mix of emotions through changes, evolutions and discoveries; a continuous search for their spaces, their places, their borders and the characteristics of their identity. If this continuous research is combined with a sexual identity that differs from the strongly cisnormal and heteronormed models of contemporary society, the “coming out” of adolescents who belong to the LGBTQI+ community is difficult to manage. L'adozione nel contesto e co-testo scuola. Literature review su adozione-scuola con Atlas.ti

Our research wants to be a meta-analysis work; its purpose is to focus on adoption and to analyse the “textual-semantic correlates” through which this topic has been understood and interpreted by international literature. In particular, the aim is to describe and codify the semantic-linguistic treatment of “adoption of children” theme with reference to school adjustment issue. In the title of the following thesis, “Adoption in the school context and co-text”, the term co-text (stemming from linguistics) points out the inquiry function in texts and the purpose of meta-reflective comparison among texts of articles coming from the journals with a high impact factor. After selecting those journ…

Holden Lori with Hass Crystal: The open-hearted way to open adoption. Helping your child growing up whole

2015

An open adoption is a way of keeping in contact with the biological roots, maybe more suitable for children adopted in their early infancy than later. In fact, children in older adoption age, coming from a pre-adoptive adverse environment (abuse, neglect, violence, poverty, etc.), may invoke oblio right ,tore-create themselves in the new family.
