Purpose: The aim of this study was to determine the status of radiology quality improvement programs in a variety of selected nations worldwide. Methods: A survey was developed by select members of the International Economics Committee of the American College of Radiology on quality programs and was distributed to committee members. Members responded on behalf of their country. The 51-question survey asked about 12 different quality initiatives which were grouped into 4 themes: departments, users, equipment, and outcomes. Organisational Challenges for School Development and Improvement : The Obstructing Role of Sub-Groups and an Overly Positive School Culture

The purpose of this study has been to identify and analyse obstacles embedded in the school organisation that impede organisational development and improvement. The general findings show that the school structure comprised sub-groups and had characteristics of a diversified organisation. This led to dysfunctional discussions that challenged school development and improvement. In this article, the research topic is to develop an evaluation model for social work with substance abusers. It is studied by presenting an example of how the evaluation process could be carried out in practice. The study has been implemented with the Department of Social Services and Health Care’s Centre for Recovering Substance Abusers in Finland (RSA Centre). Pirms lasīšanas uzdevumi mācību grāmatu tekstiem vārdu krājuma paplašināšanai angļu valodas stundās tehnikumā

Šis diplomdarbs pēta pirms lasīšanas uzdevumu ietekmi uz vārdu krājuma paplašināšanu un lasīšanas izpratni. Tā mērķis ir izstrādāt pirms lasīšanas papildu uzdevumus un izpētīt, kā tie veicina skolēnu sasniegumus vārdu krājuma uzlabošanā. Teorētiskā daļa ir vērsta uz teorijām par ciešu savstarpējo saistību starp lasīšanu un vārdu krājuma pārzināšanu. Empīriskā daļa apraksta gadījumu izpētes rezultātus. Datu vākšanas rīki parādīja priekšrocības, ko sniedz papildu pirms lasīšanas pasākumi studentu grupām, kas bija iesaistītas eksperimentā, salīdzinot ar studentiem, kuri izmantoja tikai mācību grāmatu materiālus.
