Methods Ten young adult male monozygotic twin pairs (age range 32-36 years) discordant for leisure-time physical activity during the past 3 years were systematically selected from a population-based Finnish twin cohort. This prospective, community-based study examined trajectories of physical activity from childhood to adulthood and whether these trajectories contributed to depressive symptoms in adulthood to a greater degree than adulthood physical activity. We have evaluated the association between several polymorphisms at the perilipin (PLIN) locus (PLIN1 : 6209T > C, PLIN4 : 11482G > A, PLIN5 : 13041A > G, and PLIN6 : 14995A > T) with obesity-related phenotypes in 1589 White subjects randomly selected from a general Spanish population. Multifocal disseminated lesions of circumscribed lipoatrophy have not been described as an adverse reaction of intravenously applied drugs. A unique patient with adrenal insufficiency is reported who received corticosteroids intravenously and then had multiple lesions develop that were similar to focal lipoatrophy as known to occur secondary to faulty intradermal injections of corticosteroids.
