Monialainen yhteistyö asiantuntijuuden muokkaajana kotouttamistyössä : näkökulmana poliisin työ
2020
Kotouttava työ haastaa poliisin ammatillista asiantuntijuutta moninaistuvassa yhteiskunnassa. Multi-agency collaboration is a widely used approach to promote two-way integration in Finland. Besides public authorities, it typically involves various actors from NGOs, ethnic or religious communities, and the private sector. In this article I analyse police offcers’ views and experiences of local multiagency collaborat…
Becoming confidently competent: a qualitative investigation of training in cognitive functional therapy for persistent low back pain.
2022
Background Physiotherapists trained to deliver biopsychosocial interventions for complex musculoskeletal pain problems often report difficulties in confidence and competency at the end of training. Cognitive Functional Therapy (CFT) is an individualized biopsychosocial intervention and understanding the facilitators and barriers to training in CFT will help inform future training programs. This study aimed to explore physiotherapists’ and trainers’ perceptions of the process of developing competency in CFT. Methods A cross-sectional qualitative design using interviews of 18 physiotherapists and two trainers investigated training in CFT for persistent LBP via reflexive thematic analysis. Res…
DEVELOPING A 3D ROAD CADASTRAL SYSTEM: COMPARING LEGAL REQUIREMENTS AND USER NEEDS
2018
Abstract. Road transport has always played an important role in a country’s growth and, in order to manage road networks and ensure a high standard of road performance (e.g. durability, efficiency and safety), both public and private road inventories have been implemented using databases and Geographical Information Systems. They enable registering and managing significant amounts of different road information, but to date do not focus on 3D road information, data integration and interoperability. In an increasingly complex 3D urban environment, and in the age of smart cities, however, applications including intelligent transport systems, mobility and traffic management, road maintenance an…
INTEGRATED SURVEYNG WITH MOBILE MAPPING SYSTEM, EGNOS, NTRK AND LASER TECHNOLOGIES IN THE PARK "NINNI CASSARA" IN PALERMO
2018
Abstract. This article summarizes the experience gained between 2012 and 2013 by the department of "Civil Engineering, Environmental, Aerospace and Materials" of University of Palermo on the integrated survey of Ninni Park Cassara Park in Palermo and the subsequent testing of methods, tools and techniques based on current research regarding the acquisition and processing of GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) data and laser-scanner. A fruitful time dedicated to the design of the survey has allowed us to become aware of the critical issues that the site presents because of its vast extent and diversity in size and number of the elements of which it is composed. The work has been addres…
Directions of Economic Integration in the Arab East
2019
Economic integration is one of the most important premises of globalization. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the effects that economic integration can generate in the Arab East, but also to investigate the current state of integration in the region. The benefits that a state can benefit by strengthening its position in the field of economic integration, either through preferential trade agreements or through foreign direct investment or labor migration, are obvious. The Arab East can thus attract a more sustained economic growth process for the less developed countries, either through intra-regional cooperation, through contact with the Arab states that are members of the Gulf Coope…
The Test–Retest Repeatability of a Rhythm Coordination Test Procedure in 4- to 6-Year-Old Children : A Pilot Study
2020
Moving to music combines the ability of rhythm and coordination. In relation to the musical and motor development of children, sensorimotor synchronization requires the ability to perceive and perform a steady beat. The present pilot study aimed to investigate the test–retest repeatability of a rhythm coordination test procedure in order to pilot the procedure for children. Test–retest repeatability reflects the variation in measurements taken by the rhythm coordination test on the same participant under the same conditions. Ten children (mean age 5.5 years, standard deviation (SD) 0.6) participated in the tests. The test performance was evaluated in points from 0 to 8, separately at a slow…

Emerging Joint Expertise? Multiagency Collaboration Described in Local Integration Programmes in Finland
2016
Multiagency collaboration is seen as an essential way of working to promote the two-way integration of newcomers and a receiving society. The term multiagency collaboration underlines the diversity of actors in cooperation. Cross-sectorial networks are mentioned in higher strategies as well as in the local programmes or plans for action. But how is multiagency work structured at the local level? This article looks at the examples of multiagency collaboration in the written documents of local integration programmes in the Finnish context. The examples are chosen from different areas. It seems that collaboration is widely emphasized as a goal or a working method. Whereas expertise in integrat…
Eurobarometer 51.0: The Elderly and Domestic Violence, March-May 1999
2000
This round of Eurobarometer surveys queried respondents on standard Eurobarometer measures, such as whether they attempted to persuade others close to them to share their views on subjects they held strong opinions about, whether they discussed political matters, and what the goals of the European Union (EU) should be. Additional questions focused on the respondents' knowledge of and opinions on the EU, including how well-informed they felt about the EU, what sources of information about the EU they used, and whether their country had benefited from being an EU member. Another major focus of the surveys was elderly people and domestic violence. Respondents were asked whether retired people …
