Celem artykułu jest próba przedstawienia relacji Górnego Śląska z Małopolską i Krakowem w okresie międzywojennym. Relacje te rozwijały się na kilku płaszczyznach: gospodarczej, społecznej, kulturowej. Artykuł niniejszy dotyczy ich pewnego wycinka, a mianowicie śląsko-małopolskiego sporu granicznego jaki wywiązał się między środowiskami politycznymi obu regionów o przywództwo i dominację na obszarze Polski południowej. Correlation between leukocytosis and thrombosis in Philadelphia-negative chronic myeloproliferative neoplasms

The evidence that leukocytes may contribute to the pathogenesis of thrombosis in Chronic Myeloproliferative Neoplasms is increasing but not definitive. To further enforces whether an increased leukocyte count is associated with thrombosis and whether this effect can be modulated by cytoreductive therapy, we analyzed the clinical course of 187 patients with Polycythemia Vera (PV) and Essential Thrombocythemia (ET) followed at two Italian Institutions over a period of 7 years. Type I Interferonopathies comprise inherited inflammatory diseases associated with perturbation of the type I IFN response. Use of Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitors has been recently reported as possible tools for treating some of those rare diseases. We describe herein the clinical picture and treatment response to the JAK-inhibitor ruxolitinib in a 5-year-old girl affected by Aicardi-Goutières Syndrome type 6 (AGS6) due to ADAR1 mutation. The girl's interferon score (IS) was compared with that of her older brother, suffering from the same disorder, who was not treated.
