Neuroscientific findings allow interventions in the human brain to improve its function or modify mental states even without medical indication. This procedure, termed as neuroenhancement, is subject to a broad ethical debate. As neuroenhancement is an evolving phenomenon, the debate is necessarily future-oriented and highly dependent on information about future developments. RESUMEN.Para justificar una decisión u otro tipo de conclusión jurídica han de tomarse en consideración fuentes previas y preexistentes a la propia argumentación (el pasado) y predicciones sobre las consecuencias que produciría uno u otro resultado (el futuro). Ambos focos de atención son reconciliables cuando la mirada hacia el futuro viene exigida por las fuentes del pasado, pero a menudo se suscitan tensiones que han de resolverse con el razonamiento o la decisión. AbstractResearch has shown that students differ in their abilities to evaluate the credibility of online texts, and, in general, many perform poorly on online evaluation tasks. This study extended current knowledge by examining students’ abilities to justify the credibility of online texts from different perspectives, thus providing a more nuanced understanding of students’ credibility evaluation ability.
