Kohti uutta Japania : Meiji-restauraatiota ympäröivän aikakauden 1853-1878 historiakuva Rurouni Kenshin-mangassa

Tässä tutkimuksessa käsittelen japanilaisen Rurouni Kenshin –mangan tapaa käsitellä historiallisia tapahtumia ja henkilöitä, jotka liittyvät vuonna 1868 tapahtuneeseen Meiji-restauraatioon. Restauraation yhteydessä poliittinen valta palautettiin shogunilta keisarille vuosisatojen shogunaatin hallinnon jälkeen. Ajallisesti tutkimukseni käsittelee vuosia 1853–1878, aloittaen Japanin avautumisesta pitkän eristyskautensa jälkeen lopettaen vuoteen 1878. Il volume affronta certi aspetti dell'attività di Igor Stravinsky negli anni Sessanta, sviluppando un percorso articolato in cinque movimenti: "Nice Kids": è il modo in cui Stravinsky definisce John e Jacqueline Kennedy dopo averli incontrati alla Casa Bianca il 18 gennaio 1962, in una serata in cui s’intrecciano mondanità e politica. "Totalitarismi": mentre la critica sovietica lo accusa di essere un cosmopolita decadente e borghese, certi esponenti del nazismo descrivono Stravinsky come un tipico esponente del “bolscevismo culturale”. Il 21 novembre 1963 Igor Stravinsky dirige a Palermo l'Orchestra Sinfonica Siciliana e il Coro dell'Accademica Filarmonica Romana. Il giorno successivo il presidente Kennedy viene assassinato a Dallas, e Stravinsky dedica alla sua memoria i successivi concerti a Catania e a Roma. This chapter considers Bernardi’s contribution to two different processes of traditional institutions revival in East Africa. He was the main ethnographer of the Mugwe, a traditional dignitary of the Meru of Kenya, that ceased to exist soon after his field work. Dynamics of Two Ferromagnetic Insulators Coupled by Superconducting Spin Current.

A conventional superconductor sandwiched between two ferromagnets can maintain coherent equilibrium spin current. This spin supercurrent results from the rotation of odd-frequency spin correlations induced in the superconductor by the magnetic proximity effect. In the absence of intrinsic magnetization, the superconductor cannot maintain multiple rotations of the triplet component but instead provides a Josephson type weak link for the spin supercurrent. We determine the analog of the current-phase relation in various circumstances and show how it can be accessed in experiments on dynamic magnetization. Electromagnetic wave propagation in non-homogeneous waveguides

We investigate an electromagnetic waveguide, having several cylindrical ends. The waveguide is assumed to be empty and to have a perfectly conductive boundary. We study the electromagnetic field, excited in the waveguide in the presence of charges and currents. The field can be described as a solution of the stationary Maxwell system with conductive boundary conditions and “intrinsic” radiation conditions at infinity. We prove the problem to be well-posed. Electromagnetic waves propagation in the waveguide can be described by means of a scattering matrix.
