Studies on online labor platforms (OLPs) have revealed that OLPs can have extensive managerial control over independent workers, which affects their autonomy and precariousness. The permeability of the management makes some OLPs' roles as neutral intermediaries in labor exchanges questionable. While there are several platform work studies on the effects of human resource management (HRM) activities, earlier studies have focused more on certain types of OLP companies. Tässä tutkielmassa analysoidaan kasvuyritysten sekä tieto- ja viestintäteknologian (ICT) kontribuutioita työpaikkojen luomiseen ja työn tuottavuuteen. Suomen talouden kehitys on ollut heikkoa viimeisen vuosikymmenen ajan globaalista finanssikriisistä johtuen. Työttömyys on noussut korkealle tasolle ja työn tuottavuuden kasvu hidastunut, ja lopulta pysähtynyt. Lisäksi on keskusteltu siitä, syntyykö Suomeen uusia työpaikkoja. Pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot saistības starp humora stiliem, apmierinātību ar partnerattiecībām un subjektīvo labklājību, un izpētīt dzimumatšķirības. Respondenti (N=111) pildīja Humora stilu aptauju (Humor Styles Questionnaire), Apmierinātības ar partnerattiecībām aptauju (Comprehensive Marital Satisfaction Scale) un Apmierinātības ar dzīvi skalu (Satisfaction With Life Scale). Rezultāti atklāja statistiski nozīmīgas, pozitīvas saistības starp biedrisko humora stilu un pašuzmundrinošo humora stilu, agresīvo humora stilu un sevi noliedzošo humora stilu, subjektīvo labklājību un apmierinātību ar partnerattiecībām. Identity politics of the promotional videos of the European Heritage Label

During past decades, the EU has responded to a variety of ‘crises’ by promoting a common cultural heritage to advance European identity and belonging. This article analyses identity politics conducted in the framework of the EU’s flagship heritage action, the European Heritage Label. I borrow from ‘banal nationalism’ to scrutinise the usage of ‘we’ and ‘us’ in the promotional videos of the European Heritage Label sites as subject positions offered for identification in this heritage discourse. Analysis shows that the subject positions are constituted by an emphasis on the national level, preservation of the past for future generations and the key role of experts in the process of heritage. …
