Vantaggi e limiti dell'approccio laparoscopico nell'addome acuto

2008

S.I.L.C.indicazione e limiti: Risultati preliminari

2009

LAPAROSCOPIC LEFT LIVER SECTIONECTOMY (LLLS) FOR PEDIATRIC LIVING RELATED LIVER TRANSPLANTATION (LRLT)

2011

PURPOSE: LRLT in children is a method to provide organs for transplantation. We report 2 cases of LLLS for pediatric LRLT. METHOD: Donor position: lithotomy with surgeon in French position. Trocars: three 12 mm, placed 2 cm upper the supra-umbilical mid-line and sub-costal bi-lateral on the nipple lines; one 5 mm in epigastrium. Special instrumentation: harmonic scissor, ligasure®, Hem-O-Lock clips, and Endo Catch-II® bag. Main steps: division of round, falciform, left triangular ligaments and of lesser omentum; inspection of anatomy; hepatic hilum dissection with exposure of the left hepatic artery; dissection of the right side of the falciform ligament with exposure of the left branch of …

A prospective randomized study comparing laparoscopic burch versus tvt. Short and long term follow-up.

2003

Objective: To report short and long-terms results of a prospective randomized laparoscopic Burch vs TVT for the treatment of stress incontinence (GSI). Methods: Since January 1999 to January 2003 we performed 66 LB and 67 TVT. In the LB group the mean age was 51years ( range 38–65), mean body weight 73 Kg.(range 48–88), mean parity 2,5 (range 1–5), menopause 38 (57,5%), while in the TVT group the mean age was 53years (range 37–72), mean body weight 70Kg. (range 46–84), mean parity 2,3 (range 1–4), menopause 19 (28,3%). All pts. preoperativelly underwent a complete urogynaecological work-up . All the pts. showed S.U.I. mean grade II (according to Ingelman Sundeberg) and urethra hypermobile. …

The management of the slow transit constipation in the laparoscopic era

2018

The slow transit constipation (STC) is a functional bowel pathology with slow total gut transit time with normal calibre colon in addition to a variety of other systemic symptoms. Patients with an abnormal colonic motility refractory to conservative treatment are regarded as appropriate candidates for surgery. Laparoscopic total colectomy with ileum-rectum anastomosis represents the commonest surgical operation in the treatment of STC, in well selected patients, after failure of conservative treatment. From 2012 to 2016, 8 patients suffering constipation according to Roma III criteria and diagnosed as STC were submitted to a total colectomy in our O.U. We evaluated the long-term post-operat…

2016

The laparoscopic approach to Acute Mesenteric Ischemia is today unclear and less debated (AMI). There are in fact no clinical evidences on this particular focus and only few articles can be found in several databases (pubmed, cochrane library, etc.), and the problem concerns both diagnostic and therapeutic utilization of the procedure. These considerations were already taken into account in 2012 EAES guidelines where the Grade of Recommendation (GoR) of laparoscopy in AMI was low in both diagnostic and therapeutic aspects. According to the new Oxford Classification [1], the use of laparoscopy in patients with suspicious or diagnosed AMI presents a weak GoR.

Splenic lymphoma with complex gastro-spleno-diaphragmatic fistula: 3D laparoscopic multivisceral resection. The first literature case report

2020

Abstract Introduction Gastrosplenic fistula is a rare disease involving stomach and spleen that can lead to dangerous complications like massive gastrointestinal bleeding. Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBC) is the principal pathological cause of gastrosplenic fistula. Case report We report a case of A 76-year-old caucasian woman came to the emergency room with fever for two week and gravative pain in left upper quadrant of the abdomen. CT scan of thorax and abdomen demonstrated an inhomogeneous hypodense large lymphomatous mass (10 × 6 cm) of upper pole of the spleen deformating medial profile and infiltrating gastric fundus and left diaphragm. with the diagnosis of complex gastro-splenic…

Idiopathic Retroperitoneal Fibrosis: What Is the Optimal Clinical Approach for Long-Term Preservation of Renal Function?

2022

Background: The aim of this study was to investigate the long-term effects of ureteral stenting and the exact timing of stent removal in favor of surgery in patients with idiopathic retroperitoneal fibrosis (IRF). Summary: Medline research terms of “idiopathic retroperitoneal fibrosis” AND “ medical therapy” OR “ureteral stenting” OR “surgical treatment” were done. Systematic reviews and observational and clinical studies were analyzed to obtain indication regarding the objective of the study for a narrative review. Ninety-two papers were analyzed. The treatment of IRF includes the monitoring of retroperitoneal fibr…

Virtual Reality Simulator Training of Laparoscopic Cholecystectomies — A Systematic Review

2012

Background and Aims: Simulators are widely used in occupations where practice in authentic environments would involve high human or economic risks. Surgical procedures can be simulated by increasingly complex and expensive techniques. This review gives an update on computer-based virtual reality (VR) simulators in training for laparoscopic cholecystectomies. Materials and Methods: From leading databases (Medline, Cochrane, Embase), randomised or controlled trials and the latest systematic reviews were systematically searched and reviewed. Twelve randomised trials involving simulators were identified and analysed, as well as four controlled studies. Furthermore, seven studies comparing black…
