Notes on Afrotropical Cydnidae (Heteroptera) with emphasis on vehicle-mounted net samples and description of a new species from Liberia, West Africa

Notes on the Cydnidae fauna in Liberia, sampled with a vehicle-mounted net, the species taxonomy and general distribution are reported, including the description of Chilocoris elongatus sp. nov. In addition, new country records are provided for Angola, Ethiopia, Gabon, Guine a-Bissau, Namibia, Niger, Republic of South Africa, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, and Zimbabwe.

Abstract Background: AID are seen in 10-30% of MDS and CMML. After initial response to steroids, AID are often poorly controlled and steroid-sparing drugs are difficult to use due to the underlying MDS/CMML. Some case reports suggest a beneficial role of AZA treatment in AID associated to MDS/CMML. Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 22 MDS/CMML patients (pts) with AID who received AZA in French centers between January 2007 and May 2014. Results: Median age of the 22 pts was 70y (range 41-84), including 6F/16M. This article focuses on the representation of the American West in Sergio Leone's fourth Western, which is the first to include several scenes that have been shot on location in the U.S. The author argues that Once Upon a Time in the West offers a critique not only of the classical Hollywood Westerns Leone adored, but also of his own brand of Italian Western, which may, in part, explain why members of the counter-culture were so enthused by the film at its release. The Late Peach of Leonforte [Prunus persica (L.) Batsch] grown in Southern Italy matures in September and October and as late as November. Fruits are wrapped in paper bags to protect them from parasites and are harvested only when fully ripe. Protected inside the bags, they ripen late and take on a bright yellow colour with red streaks. Highly aromatic, the peach has yellow, firm flesh that is high in soluble solids and has a distinctive, slightly caramelized flavour. In questo lavoro si prendono in esame alcuni elementi architettonici, quali la facciata, la porta, la finestra, il vestibolo che, costituendo un "limen", una sorta di sacro confine tra pubblico e privato, rivestono un’importante funzione simbolica e aprono interessanti prospettive d'indagine sull’evoluzione della teoria architettonica dal Rinascimento all’età contemporanea.
