Llengua i societat en la medicina tradicional i popular dels segles XVIII i XIX

This text constitutes a study and critical edition of a Valencian prescription manuscript, from the beginning of the XIX century, which has remained practically unknown up to the present day. It juxtaposes early instances of the language in this genre with the presence of the traditional forms of the names of diseases or medicines in Valencian popular literature of the XVIII and XIX centuries.

The subject matter of sociolinguistics are the rules or patterns of the functioning of language. But rules and transgressions are complementary facts, and sociolinguists must study both conventional and intentional language use (that is, traditional and meaningful social actions). Artikkelin tavoitteena on kuvailla sosiaalipolitiikan ja liikuntapolitiikan suhdetta sekä suhteessa tapahtuneita muutoksia suomalaisessa yhteiskunnassa 1920–80-luvuilla. Firms are under constant pressure from various governmental and nongovernmental agencies to switch from conventional environmentally polluting products to green product innovations (GPIs). However, the relevant research pertaining to GPI has been published in a diverse set of journals that vary in their scope and readership and, therefore, the scholarly contribution to the topic remains largely fragmented. Since the publication of her first novel, Jeanette Winterson has been acclaimed as one of the most promising writers on the English postmodern literary scene. This study takes into consideration seven works, from Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit (1985) to The PowerBook (2000) in which Winterson codifies bodies as culturally constructed signs which can be re-signified and transformed. The strategies she adopts to remodel the body reveal a narrative itinerary that goes from the assertion of the lesbian body of the protagonist in Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit to the virtual bodies of the interactive world in The PowerBook. Work-related language learning trajectories of migrant cleaners in Finland

Cleaning is often the survival employment that migrants can get in their new home country. Ideally, the workplace can be a site for integration and language learning. This article explores how two migrants working as cleaners in Finland narrate their work-related Finnish language learning trajectories. The research is designed by applying nexus analysis (Scollon & Scollon, 2004), which focuses on social action in the intersection of interaction order, participants’ life experiences, and discourses in place. This working paper investigates the question of changing people mobility towards more sustainable habits involving them in an engaging gameplay. The work is performed within MUV H2020 research and innovation action. The game design, definition and features have been co-created through the involvement of different citizens and stakeholders in six European neighbourhoods. The paper discusses the game design as resulting from co-creation and co-design experiences with each neighbourhood communities involved in initial phases. Semi-automatic literature mapping of participatory design studies 2006--2016

The paper presents a process of semi-automatic literature mapping of a comprehensive set of participatory design studies between 2006--2016. The data of 2939 abstracts were collected from 14 academic search engines and databases. With the presented method, we were able to identify six education-related clusters of PD articles. Furthermore, we point out that the identified clusters cover the majority of education-related words in the whole data. This is the first attempt to systematically map the participatory design literature. We argue that by continuing our work, we can help to perceive a coherent structure in the body of PD research.
