FIctional Artworks. Literary Ékphrasis and the Invention of Images

The volume is devoted to images in painting, photography and cinema invented by literature. At the same time it intends to question, through this perspective, the relationship between text and image, between verbal and visual in modern and contemporary literature. The authors investigate the mutual boundaries between literature and arts from the point of view of aesthetics, visual culture and literary theory, trying to build a map of the notional ékphrasis, a description which constitutes the work of art while telling it.

El presente estudio examinó el rendimiento en lectura de los niños con Trastorno Específico del Lenguaje (TEL). Treinta niños con TEL y 32 niños con desarrollo normal del lenguaje, equilibrados en género, edad cronológica e inteligencia, fueron evaluados mediante el PROLEC-R. Los resultados de los ANOVAs indicaron que ambos grupos difieren en el rendimiento en lectura. Como grupo, los niños con TEL tuvieron significativamente un rendimiento inferior, tanto en la exactitud como en el tiempo de la lectura de palabras y pseudopalabras, por lo que tenían una menos eficacia de lectura. The article intends to synthetically reconstruct a line of development of the Italian narrative contemporary, from the nineties onwards, based on the concept of authenticity, vast and rich in applications in the most disparate fields (juridical, philosophical, artistic). After a brief review of four emblematic cases for the use of authenticity rhetoric (Siti, Moresco, Mozzi, non-fiction), the article offers a brief overview of the narrative of last twenty years. The aim of the paper is to analyze the narrative and photographic thresholds of Leggenda privata by Michele Mari (2017). The first case is a rhetorical artifice, a horror-gothic-fantastic narrative threshold, that Mari creates to distinguish the present of writing from the past of memories, intended, as I will try to demonstrate, to problematize the crucial questions of autobiography: incipit and explicit of the narration, literature and bios, fiction and non-fiction.
