The study deals with the ways in which the general public and the government make use of new information and communication technologies. We analyze the physical locations of Internet sites with “fr” as their domain names. The data were provided by the French NIC center (AFNIC). Using this sample (a quarter of all French sites), we find a rather even distribution of French sites in the Paris area plus the other main French cities, and the remainder of France. Social embeddedness, defined as the interaction of economic activities and social behavior, is used in this study as a conceptual tool to describe the growing phenomenon of food community networks (FCNs). The aim in this paper was to map the system of relations which the FCNs develop both inside and outside the network and, from the number of relations, it was inferred the influence of each FCN upon the formation of new socially embedded economic realities. Catàleg de les escriptores valencianes dels segles XVI-XVIII (Herrero 2009) suposava un punt de partida en la compilació de «lletraferides» valencianes de l’Edat Moderna. Aquest ajudà a rescatar els seus noms, però el major handicap radica en la diversitat en la localització física dels textos. This article analyses the national discourse of Spanish socialism during the Second Republic and seeks to emphasise the Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party’s identification with a Spanish national identity. Furthermore, by considering the case of the Valencian Region (País Valenciano), it points to ways in which that identity was expressed, showing the role of the local and regional spheres in the socialist interpretation of national identity. This paper offers the achievements and lacks of the studies on local power in the ancient Kingdom of Valencia during the XIXth century. The breakdown of the Ancien Regime by the liberal revolution is the point of departure. The process of social change started whith the revolution continued ever after the failure of the democratic experience thet begun at 1868. To discuss these topics (not always shared by spanish historians), it would be proposed the analysis of local cases during long-termed periods and a social approach to politics, specially referred to attitudes and action of lower social groups.

El artículo 29 de la Ley electoral de 1907 establecía que no habría elección en caso de que hubiera tantos candidatos como puestos a cubrir en unos comicios. Y seguía vigente el 12 de abril de 1931, cuando se celebraron las elecciones municipales que dieron vida a la Segunda República. Sus consecuencias –la existencia de concejales y ayuntamientos no electos, siguieron presentes hasta las elecciones municipales parciales de abril de 1933.
