Novel qutrit circuit design for multiplexer, De-multiplexer, and decoder

2022

AbstractDesigning conventional circuits present many challenges, including minimizing internal power dissipation. An approach to overcoming this problem is utilizing quantum technology, which has attracted significant attention as an alternative to Nanoscale CMOS technology. The reduction of energy dissipation makes quantum circuits an up-and-coming emerging technology. Ternary logic can potentially diminish the quantum circuit width, which is currently a limitation in quantum technologies. Using qutrit instead of qubit could play an essential role in the future of quantum computing. First, we propose two approaches for quantum ternary decoder circuit in this context. Then, we propose a qua…

Relationship between management Control and Organizational learning: An exploratory Study

2019

L’analisi viene condo…

GRANULAR-INFORMATION-BASED RISK ANALYSIS IN UNCERTAIN SITUATIONS

2006

In the real life almost all of the decisions that we have to make incorporate uncertainty about the future events. Assessment of the uncertainty and, thus, the risk that is inherent in these decisions models can be critical. It is even truer if we are talking about the possibility of negative impact on the environment. It is very important to assess all the environmental risks in a project if there is any hazard to the environment. In this paper the possibility of using granular information is considered. The main advantage of the granular information is that it can be used to assess risks in situations when information about future events is incomplete and imprecise. Moreover, we can use n…

The Joint Distribution Criterion and the Distance Tests for Selective Probabilistic Causality

2010

A general definition and a criterion (a necessary and sufficient condition) are formulated for an arbitrary set of external factors to selectively influence a corresponding set of random entities (generalized random variables, with values in arbitrary observation spaces), jointly distributed at every treatment (a set of factor values containing precisely one value of each factor). The random entities are selectively influenced by the corresponding factors if and only if the following condition, called the joint distribution criterion, is satisfied : there is a jointly distributed set of random entities, one entity for every value of every factor, such that every subset of this set that corr…

2015

In a famous article published in 1993, Raymond Duval highlighted a simple fact: the student may confuse the mathematical object O he is trying to build cognitively with one of its semiotic representations R(O). Duval explained that this confusion was due to a sort of inevitable paradox: only someone who has already built O, can recognize R(O) as a representation of O and not as an object in itself. Thereafter, this thought has been extremely influential for researchers. However, even if in different terms, many scholars of semiotics have emphasized the same phenomenon. In this paper we propose to remind some of them.

Utilitarian Use of Social Media Services - A Study on Twitter

2018

This paper applies structuration theory (ST) and service dominant logic (SDL) as lenses to study different uses of information systems (IS). We argue that resources provided by IS may be combined and reproduced by appropriating them for different purposes than the design purposes of the IS. The study provides empirical data and analysis to showcase the use of resources for utilitarian purposes in the context of social media services (SMS). Through an analysis of sponsored tweets on Twitter, we show that users employ implicit and explicit resources for utilitarian outcomes. Our findings imply that users create their own service through appropriation of resources available in the social conte…
