Ganoderma lucidum (W. Curt.: Fr) P. Karst. is a mushroom exhibiting various medicinal properties, popular particularly in Asia. It is grown on a substrate based on hardwood sawdust. Other organic materials, usually agricultural or industrial waste supplemented with various additives, are also used in the cultivation of this mushroom. Tämän tutkielman tarkoituksena on esitellä Sigmund Freudin naiskuvaa sekä kritiikkiä jota Luce Irigarayn on tälle naiskuvalle esittänyt. Tutkielmassa tarkastelen Freudin käsitystä naisista Irigarayn Speculum of the Other Woman -teoksessa esittämän kritiikin kautta. Fish parasites may potentially harm fisheries and aquaculture. Infected fish are unusable, even though they would not pose a direct risk to human health. The aim of this thesis was to investigate the ecology and epidemiology of three previously unknown or poorly known spore-forming parasites infecting muscles of economically important fish species. The first novel microsporidian species, here described as Microsporidium luciopercae, was found from pike-perch (Sander lucioperca) and European perch (Perca fluviatilis) and formed opaque-looking patches in the muscles. The paper seeks to interpret the European crisis following the critical-pragmatic approach that has been developed by the French sociologist Luc Boltanski. In this respect, the essay aims to achieve two main objectives. The first one is to show how the current crisis can be described not only focusing on its systemic, structural nature, but also taking into account the critical claims of social actors. Kuhakannat ovat parin viime vuosikymmenen aikana vahvistuneet. Samalla myös tiedontarve kuhan perusekologiasta on kasvanut. FK Tapio Keskisen väitöskirjassa tutkittiin kuhan merkitystä järvien kalayhteisöissä. Erityisesti rehevissä järvissä kuha on tärkeä petokala.Telemetrialähettimellä merkittyjä kuhia seurattiin Päijänteen vesistössä. Osa kuhista oli paikallisia liikkuen vain parin kilometrin säteellä, kun taas osa vaelsi pisimmillään yli parikymmentä kilometriä. Kesäaikaan kuhat suosivat kahta erillistä elinympäristöä: virtaavia, lämpötilakerrostumattomia alueita ja lämpötilakerrostuneita selkävesiä.
