Spaemann, nel presente saggio si teorizza una concezione “neo-ippocratica” dell’atto medico, in cui le istanze di umanizzazione e le esigenze di rigore scientifico sembrano riconciliate nel celebre detto “medicus curat, natura sanat”. Al di là di ogni indebita medicalizzazione dell’esistenza, infatti, l’arte medica saprà mostrare il suo volto umano nella misura in cui, orientandosi non alla ma-nipolazione dell’organismo ma alla sua cura e alla sua guarigione, riscoprirà, nel cuore dell’antica nozione di physis, quell’“armonia nascosta” che, ancora oggi, rappresenta lo scopo e al tempo stesso il limite del suo esercizio.

Las neuropatías del trigémino de origen tumoral suponen un bajo porcentaje de las neuropatías trigeminales, pero pueden tener muy mal pronóstico. Es importante descartar una neoplasia en los pacientes con adormecimiento en el territorio del trigémino. Presentamos 7 casos de neuropatías trigeminales secundarias a tumores; en 4 existían antecedentes de neoplasias sistémicas previas y en 3 la neuropatía fue el primer signo de la enfermedad tumoral. En tres ocasiones la lesión se localizó en mandíbula, una en base de cráneo, una en troncoencéfalo, una a nivel cerebral y en una no se encontró el nivel lesional. Oral Blue Nevus: Case Report

Abstract: Aim of this research is the description of a case of palatal blue nevus and the diagnostic and therapeutic strategies to adopt when this oral lesion occurs. Nevi are benign proliferations of nevus cells either in the epithelium or in the subepithelial stroma. Blue nevus of the oral mucosa is a rare lesion. The oral blue nevi are asymptomatic and have no malignant potential. More importantly blue nevus had to be differentiated from malignant melanoma. Because is difficult to distinguish oral melanocytic nevi from melanoma we believe that any oral lesion in question should be excised and sent for histopathologic evaluation.

Abstract The topic of 24-hour management of COPD is related to day-to-night symptoms management, specific follow-up and patients’ adherence to therapy. Non-linear analysis of a modified QPSK Costas loop

A Costas loop is one of the classical phase-locked loop based circuits, which demodulates data and recovers carrier from the input signal. The Costas loop is essentially a nonlinear control system and its nonlinear analysis is a challenging task. In this article for a modified QPSK Costas loop we analyze the hold-in, pull-in and lock-in ranges. New procedure for estimation of the lock-in range is considered and compared with previously known approach. peerReviewed
