Started on 17th August 1977 the Opole Walking Pilgrimage to Jasna Góra was a result of many centuries oftradition of dévotion to Our Lady ofCzęstochowa in the Opole region. After érection ofthe apostolic administration ofthe Opole Silesia in 1945 and Opole diocese 27 years later preparing the whole-diocese pilgrimage was impossible because oftwo factors: political context ofthe PPL and reluctance of bishop Franciszek Jop to provoke the government unfavourable towards the Church. Not before 1976, with bishop Jop being deadly sick, his auxiliary bishop - Wacław Wycisk let fr. Edmund Cisak (priest in Grodziec) to prepare the pilgrimage. Przedmiotem niniejszego opracowania jest parafialny ogród botaniczny znajdujący się w jednej z miejscowości w województwie śląskim - Bujakowie (dzielnicy Mikołowa). Ogród o powierzchni 1 ha powstał w latach 70. XX wieku. Pomysłodawcą jego założenia był proboszcz miejscowego kościoła pw. św. Mikołaja. Bezpośrednio z funkcjonowaniem ogrodu związane jest ustanowienie w 2000 roku w Bujakowie sanktuarium Matki Bożej Bujakowskiej - patronki środowiska naturalnego. Dla mieszkańców miejscowości i okolic ogród pełni ważne funkcje (rekreacyjną, edukacyjną, ludyczną, kulturotwórczą), jest również rozpoznawalnym miejscem w turystyce przyrodniczej na obszarze województwa śląskiego.

Orędzie fatimskie, obok części doktrynalnej, wykształciło i ma wpływ na tradycyjne oraz nowe formy pobożności z szczególnym wyakcentowaniem kultu Niepokalanego Serca Maryi i związanych z tym praktyk religijnych, takich jak modlitwa różańcowa oraz nabożeństwo pierwszych sobót. The article address the problem of limiting the rights of Protestants and other non-Catholic Christian denominations during the reigns of two kings from the Wettin dynasty - King Augustus II (1697-1733). The process started as early as the second half of the 17th century, but it was fully accomplished in the years 1717-1736. In the article the author discussed the resolutions of the sejms and other legal acts introduced at that time, the aim of which was to eliminate dissenters from public life. The Polish monarchs were inert towards the process. It was the rulers of non - Catholic European states (Prussia, Russia and Great Britain) that helped Protestants an Orthodox Christans in Poland

The fonds of National Library of Russia include a Register of Brotherhood of Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary in Polotsk. Besides the list of members, the manuscript includes a number of documents important for operation of the congregation. The Brotherhood operated in 1794-1818; it was run by Jesuits, who survived disbanding of the order in 1773. Membership list of the Brotherhood (approx. 11 thousand) shows a crosssection of Polish community, living mostly in territories captured by Russia after First Partition of Poland. It includes members of local elite, as well as the lowest social tiers. Russians, Germans, French and Italians also joined the Brotherhood. An important group of members …
