Tässä tutkielmassa tarkastellaan luontokäsitettä maailmankuvan muutoksiin liittyen Max Frischin romaaneissa Homo faber. Ein Bericht (1957) ja Der Mensch erscheint im Holozän (1979). Luontokuvaa ja mailmankuvaa sekä näissä tapahtuvia muutoksia käsitellään ensin teoriaosassa historian eri aikakausien näkökulmasta. Analyysiosassa tarkastellaan maailman- ja luontokuvan muutoksia romaanien päähenkilöiden ajattelutavoissa. Luontosuhteemme ja sen määritteleminen on ajankohtainen teema, jota joudumme jatkuvasti mm. erilaisten luonnonkatastrofien yhteydessä pohtimaan. Introducción: Los Carcinomas Intraóseos Primarios Odontogénicos (PIOC) son un raro grupo de tumores malignos con unos estrictos criterios diagnósticos clínicos y anatomo-patológicos. Las diferentes clasificaciones sugeridas para estos tumores y el escaso número de casos descritos en la literatura hacen difícil conocer con exactitud cuantos son los casos reales publicados hasta el día de hoy. Material y métodos: presentamos tres nuevos casos de PIOC originados a partir de una lesión quística previa que fueron tratados en nuestro centro. Constant sign and nodal solutions for parametric anisotropic $(p, 2)$-equations

We consider an anisotropic ▫$(p, 2)$▫-equation, with a parametric and superlinear reaction term.Weshow that for all small values of the parameter the problem has at least five nontrivial smooth solutions, four with constant sign and the fifth nodal (sign-changing). Comparison of inter-trial recovery times for the determination of critical power and W' in cycling

Critical Power (CP) and W’ are often determined using multi-day testing protocols. To investigate this cumbersome testing method, the purpose of this study was to compare the differences between the conventional use of a 24-h inter-trial recovery time with those of 3 h and 30 min for the determination of CP and W’. Methods: 9 moderately trained cyclists performed an incremental test to exhaustion to establish the power output associated with the maximum oxygen uptake (p V O2max), and 3 protocols requiring time-to-exhaustion trials at a constant work-rate performed at 80%, 100% and 105% of p VO2max. Holocene sea level change in Malta

A multidisciplinary approach has been applied to study sea level changes along the coast of Malta using data collected from underwater archaeological remains. The elevation of archaeological markers have been compared with predicted sea level curves providing new bodies of evidence that outline the vertical tectonic behaviour of this region, allowing estimation of the relative sea level changes that occurred in this area of the Mediterranean since the Bronze Age. During the Roman Age, sea level was at −1.36 ± 0.1 m, while in the Midde Age it was at −0.56 ± 0.2 m, in agreement with previous estimations for the Mediterranean region. In this paper atomic decomposition theorems of martingales are considered. In particular, three atomic decomposition theorems for Lorentz martingale spacesHs p,q, Qp,q andDp,q, where 0 < p < 1, and 0 < q 1, are proved. As a consequence of these decompositions, the authors obtain a sufficient condition for a sublinear operator T, defined on the previous Lorentz martingale spaces Hs p,q, Qp,q and Dp,q and taking values in Lorentz spaces Lr, to be bounded. Also, a restricted weak-type interpolation theorem is established.
