The analysis of performance of Not-for-profit organisations (NPOs) is difficult because there are several objectives and perspectives to NPO performance and accountability, especially if considered sustainably and in long term. This suggests that performance analysis and measurement of NPOs might also involve multiple perspectives, such as in Balanced Scorecard (BSC) or in the Logical Framework (LF) models. This article is a case study of analysing the sustainable development and performance of an NPO in rural Ethiopia. The paper focuses on the co-existence of national identities, the concepts of Central Europe as a geographic space, and Mitteleuropa as a cultural space. In particular, it examines the development of a cultural unity need after the fall of the Austrian Empire, namely from the time of independent small states after the WWI, to the time of the iron curtain that reshaped the continent into two halves, West and East, thus delating the spirit of Mitteleuropa. The national identity of Slavic Mitteleuropa is examined by means of a new approach to different cultural paradigms, namely the historical events out of which the popular canon in music flourished at the end of eighteenth-century Poland and in nineteenth-century Bohemia, Slovenia and Croatia. This phenomenon must be analysed within a framework in which cosmopolitism and nationalism co-existed in a mix of functional and autonomous music, superseding the boundaries of subordination, adaptation and autonomy.

Teimme tapaustutkimuksen alkuopetuksen luokkaan, jossa tutkimme paljon huomiota saanutta ilmiötä koulukiusaamista. Tutkimme mitä kiusaaminen on oppilaiden ja opettajan mielestä, esiintyykö tutkimusluokassa kiusaamista, miten siihen puututaan ja kuinka luokanopettaja ennaltaehkäisee koulukiusaamisen syntymistä. Käytimme tutkimiseen kouluetnografista lähestymistapaa, johon sisältyi havainnointia, haastatteluja sekä sosiometrisen mittauksen toteuttaminen luokassa. Tarkastelen tässä tutkielmassa Lost-draamasarjassa (USA 2004–2010) esiintyvää informaation piilottamista. Esittelen sarjasta poimimieni esimerkkien avulla niitä kerronnan keinoja, joiden avulla sarja viivyttää tiedon paljastamista katsojalle. Pohdin myös piilottamisen ongelmia sekä etuja. In this thesis I examine the hiding of information in the drama series Lost (USA 2004–2010). With examples from Lost I explain the narrative devices used in the series to delay the disclosure of information. I also contemplate the pros and cons of such hiding.
