Magnetic quantum criticality in quasi-one-dimensional Heisenberg antiferromagnet Cu(C4H4N2)(NO3)2

We analyze exciting recent measurements [Phys. Rev. Lett. 114 (2015) 037202] of the magnetization, differential susceptibility and specific heat on one dimensional Heisenberg antiferromagnet Cu(C4H4N2)(NO3)2 (CuPzN) subjected to strong magnetic fields. Using the mapping between magnons (bosons) in CuPzN and fermions, we demonstrate that magnetic field tunes the insulator towards quantum critical point related to so-called fermion condensation quantum phase transition (FCQPT) at which the resulting fermion effective mass diverges kinematically. International audience; The recoil-β tagging technique has been used in conjunction with the 40 Ca(32 S ,2n) reaction at a beam energy of 88 MeV to identify transitions associated with the decay of the 2 + and, tentatively, 4 + states in the nucleus 70 Kr. These data are used, along with previously published data, to examine the triplet energy differences (TED) for the mass 70 isobars. The experimental TED values are compared with shell model calculations, performed with the JUN45 interaction in the fpg model space, that include a J = 0 isospin nonconserving (INC) interaction with an isotensor strength of 100 keV. In the large GWAS studies, NEGR1 gene has been one of the most significant gene loci for body mass phenotype. The purpose of the current study was to clarify the role of NEGR1 in the maintenance of systemic metabolism, including glucose homeostasis, by using both male and female Negr1−/− mice receiving a standard or high fat diet (HFD). Neutrinos from GRBs with ANTARES

A search for muon neutrinos in coincidence with gamma-ray bursts with the ANTARES neutrino detector using data from the end of 2007 to 2011 is performed. Expected neutrino fluxes are calculated for each burst individually. The most recent numerical calculations of the spectra using the NeuCosmA code are employed, which include Monte Carlo simulations of the full underlying photohadronic interaction processes. The discovery probability for a selection of 296 gamma-ray bursts in the given period is optimised using an extended maximum-likelihood strategy. El presente trabajo pretende valorar los resultados obtenidos mediante la utilización del dibujo y de las descripciones a lo largo de una actividad basada en la observación de la morfología de las hormigas. Se plantea un trabajo individual y autónomo donde los participantes, en 3 etapas diferentes, deben tratar de dibujar o describir su observación de muestras vivas de hormigas. Los resultados de la investigación son muy significativos, puesto que encontramos diferencias estadísticas entre la utilización de las dos estrategias, así como entre las producciones de cada etapa, pudiendo ver cómo evolucionan sus representaciones mentales. This study explores school teachers’ mental models about their work in the framework of Senge’s learning organisation, aiming to support their PDL during curriculum reform and organisational changes.
