With the aim to identify the specific identities of the Sicani territory, to interpret them in a perspective of innovative development and to define strategies capable of intercepting programming in progress, it has been deepened the “territorial archipelago” theoretical framework , recognizing it into the Sicani territory and trying to use it as the base of a possible development of a Smart Land, as a “non-gravitational” paradigm able to recognize and to direct the new relations of the rur-urban local systems.
Enhancing the Iterative Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics Method

Motivated by recent research on the iterative approach proposed for the smoothed particle hydrodynamics (ISPH) method, some ideas to improve the process are introduced. The standard procedure is enhanced iterating on the residuals preserving the matrix-free nature of the process. The method is appealing providing reasonable results with disordered data distribution too and no kernel variations are needed in the approximation. This work moves forward with a novel formulation requiring a lower number of iterations to reach a desired accuracy. The computational procedure is described and some results are introduced to appreciate the proposed formulation.

We have focused on the role played by three families within the tourist destination assessing their role as an aggregating and driving force. This has been made possible by using one of the tools provided by SNA, namely Ego network analysis. This paper analyzes the role played by two dimensions of entrepreneurs’ private social capital in the survival, growth and innovativeness of entrepreneurial service ventures: local size and preferential attachment degree. We build a bi-dimensional measure of social capital based on network models and a methodology to estimate this measure for any group of entrepreneurs. Based on a survey of service entrepreneurs who launched their business in the city of Shanghai, we show that roles played by each dimension are quite different.
