Tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli selvittää, mihin viidesluokkalaiset ovat sosiaalistuneet alakoulussa. Tarkempina tutkimuskysymyksinä olivat: mikä on koulunkäynnin merkitys viidesluokkalaisille, minkälaiset ovat lasten vaikutusmahdollisuudet koulussa ja minkälainen on koulun piilo-opetussuunnitelma. Tämän lisäksi sosialisaatioon liittyen tutkittiin oppilaiden osallisuutta koulun päätöksenteossa sekä koettua opiskelun ja oppimisen mielekkyyttä. Tutkimuksen keskeisenä näkökulmana oli oppilaiden kritiikitön asennoituminen kouluun ja sitä kautta ilmenevä koulun kulttuuriin sosiaalistuminen. Introduction: ADHD is characterized by inattention, hyperactivity, impulsivity, or a combination of these symptoms. Sleep disorders may be considered as a not secondary underlying cause of ADHD and growing evidence evidenced that obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSA) symptoms may overlap ADHD's ones. Aim of the present study is verifying the presence of ADHD-like symptoms in other frequent condition such as sleep-related breathing disorders in pediatric age. Political Action Beyond Resistance: Arendt and "Revolutionary Spirit" in Egypt

The article examines what it calls the "politics-as-resistance" frame in contemporary political theory, originating in the works of Michel Foucault and Judith Butler. This way of organizing political experience is contrasted with Hannah Arendt's political thought, particularly her writings on revolutionary action. Arendt's often overlooked – and partly unpublished – passages on virtù and fortuna are further suggested as important additions to her thinking on action. I argue that Arendt's "world-centric" approach can illuminate certain aspects of political experience that remain dimmed in the more subject-oriented politics-as-resistance frame. The everyday and spectacle of subdued citizenship in northern Uganda

Drawing on ethnographic research in the Acholi town of Kitgum in northern Uganda, this chapter illustrates how citizenship practices are embedded in particular relationships between the state and its citizens. Two key arenas for learning are identified: the everyday, which in this region is tinged by memories of past violence and fears of its recurrence, and moments of spectacular state performance such as the burial of a prominent politician. The chapter shows how practices of citizenship are learned through embodied experiences: by taking part in public debate, by voting or by greeting a flag, but also by running away from a soldier or by staying quiet due to fear. Becoming Politically Active: Life Courses and the Formation of Capitals among Young People of Migrant Origin in Finland

This article focuses on the life courses of young people of migrant origin who are active in civic and political fields in Finland. The aim is to analyse, from the micro-level life course perspective, the issues in their lives that have helped them to become active. The article draws on empirical data collected using participatory methods. Four young people of migrant origin participated in the research process and contributed to the data analysis. The theoretical framework consists of Bourdieusian concepts of political habitus and emotional, cultural and social capital. Ääntäminen on puheilmaisun perusta. Sujuvaa ja ymmärrettävää puhetta on helppo kuunnella, se ei ole liian nopeaa tai takeltelevan hidasta, äänteet erottuvat ja puheen sävelkulku on vivahteikas (Valo 1994). Aikuiset suomi toisena kielenä –puhujat ponnistelevat toisinaan sujuvan ääntämisen kanssa pitkään, vaikka heillä olisikin kielen rakenteet ja sanasto hallussaan. Ääntämisen oppimisen prosessi on yhteydessä muun muassa aiempaan oppimiseen ja oppijan yksilöllisiin ominaisuuksiin. Ääntämiseen liittyy myös yhteisöllinen aspekti: miten vierasperäinen ääntäminen edistää tai estää osallistumista ja aktiivista roolia yhteiskunnassa?
