My PhD Thesis scrutinized with the symbolic aspects of space in Latin Augustan love elegy and particularly with two main topics: urban space, related with 'urbanitas' as a cultural and literary model, and travel, often related to warfare and greed for money.
María de Fonseca (c. 1486-1521) and the Marquis of Zenete (1473-1523): Aristocratic Rebels and Patrons of Renaissance Culture
2016

2021
According to a letter written in 1390, Guillem Nicolau attached a full commentary to his Catalan translation of Ovid’s Heroides. Although these glosses have not survived in any of the extant manuscripts of this translation, they have been preserved in a fifteenth-century manuscript containing an anonymous Castilian version of the Catalan text. In this article, the linguistic- and literary-based identification of these Castilian glosses with those written by Nicolau leads to a further examination of the relationship of the Catalan Heroides to the Latin commentary tradition. Evidence is given of Nicolau having used a Latin manuscript containing accessus and glosses from William of Orléans Bur…
Gli «Pseudo-Remedia amoris» fra riscrittura ovidiana e tematica misogina
2013
This paper consists in three parts. The first contains a new discussion about the consistence and the characteristics of love poetry in the Middle Ages and, particularly, in XIIth and XIIIth centuries (the so-called Aetas Ovidiana), with the enormous development of the “Ovidian” imitation. The second is focused on the “pseudo-Ovidian” poetry. The third (which is longer than the precedents) consists in a strict analysis of the Pseudo-Remedia amoris (a short poem in elegiac couplets of the XIIIth century, founded on the imitation of the Remedia amoris) and of its literary, metrical, rhetorical characteristics. The anonymous author of the poem takes inspiration from the Remedia amoris, but als…
Els exilis de Vicent Andrés Estellés
2004
This study analyzes the repercussions and treatment of the production of the Valencian poet, Vicent Andrés Estellés during exile. It takes as a starting oint different moments and texts both from the post-war period and the sixties and the beginning of the eighties –especially during 1956, a seminal year in the evolution of the author. On the one hand, I have carried out an analysis of intertextual relations with Carles Riba with regard to the referent “Súnion” and its appearance in the Llibre de meravelles. On the other, I have recuperated and made detail comments on the unpublished original version of the manuscript of «L’exiliat» from the end of 1956, in the book of poems Llibre d’exilis…
