Dans cette contribution, nous présentons les traces sur le terrain et dans les archives d’un bombardement survenu à Solonte dans la nuit du 12 décembre 1942. Le point de départ de cette recherche est une photographie conservée dans les archives du Musée archéologique régional Antonio Salinas, documentant la restauration d’une citerne de Solonte suite aux bombardements alliés. Nos recherches dans les archives ont permis de reconstituer la chronologie des faits et de mettre en lumière le rôle des Surintendants des Antiquités de la Sicile occidentale, Jole Bovio Marconi puis Vincenzo Tusa, pendant et après la guerre pour protéger le patrimoine culturel. The study of the hydraulic preparations of Phoenician-Punic Sicily constitutes a field of investigation alas problematic, especially with regard to the evidence related to the archaic-classical period. Not we know, for example, hydraulic works of a certain engineering commitment comparable to the oldest aqueducts of Tyre known from the sources 2 or the great Greek hydraulic infrastructures of the archaic era 3. The contribution analyzes the restoration project of the "norman gardens" in Palermo, examining the criteria and the results that have occurred from the end of the nineteenth century to today. These architectures created a constructive unicum with their gardens, identified by historiography as the "Arab-Norman" architecture of Sicily. It is interesting to note that since 2015, UNESCO has recognized "Arab-Norman Palermo and the Cathedrals of Cefalù and Monreale" as a World Heritage Site, identifying not the individual Norman monuments, but the itinerary that connects architecture and outdoor spaces. All’arcivescovo Beccadelli è riferito un Breviarium miniato a più mani variamente riconosciute. L’intervento ricostruisce, identificando due stemmi post confezione non appartenenti al committente (1. goffrato sul taglio concavo, 2. c. VIv), altrettanti inediti passaggi di mano del ms. (XV-XVII sec.) An illuminated Breviarium by several hands variously recognized is referred to Archbishop Beccadelli. The work reconstructs, by identifying two post-package coats of arms not belonging to the patron (1. embossed on the concave cut, 2. c. VIv), as many unpublished hand transitions of the ms. (15th-17th cent.)

Today just few fragments of some facades or single portals still exist as a testimony of the 17th century palermitan palaces. Within this difficult theme, an important cognitive instrument is represented by one of the drawings of the Alba collection of Seveille, painted by un unknown author in a uncertain date (anyway between 1694 and the first decade of the 18th centu¬ry) and representing a procession during the feast of Santa Rosalia among seats of power, churches and palermitan palaces.
