Concerning palaeontological and geological heritage of a particular place, being or not being under legal protection influences its preservation. As two examples, cases of Clot de Galvany Municipal Natural Park and Elche reservoir surroundings are exposed. Developed by the Palaeontologic Museum of Elche, Project FOPALI assessment methodology has been applied.

Na terenie Słowińskiego Parku Narodowego nowe stanowisko Utricularietum neglectae stwierdzono podczas badań geobotanicznych w 2014 r. w dystroficznym zbiorniku wodnym torfianka Wielkie Bagno, na wschód od miejscowości Gać (54°69’19,67’’ N, 17°50’96,11’’ E). Zbiorowisko to zostało po raz pierwszy stwierdzone w Badeni-Württembergi w Niemczech w bagnistych dołach i miejscach po wydobytym torfie. W Polsce należy do bardzo rzadko notowanych zbiorowisk. W Słowińskim Parku Narodowym płaty tego zespołu wykształciły się w miejscach zacisznych i osłoniętych od wiatru, w wodzie o głębokości 20 – 130 cm, o pH 6,5 – 6,7 na podłożu mulistym lub z dużą ilością torfu. Analysis of the LRP10 gene in patients with Parkinson's disease and dementia with Lewy bodies from Southern Italy

Recently, the LRP10 gene has been associated with Parkinson's disease (PD), Parkinson's disease with dementia (PDD), and dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB). The aim of the present study was to evaluate the presence of mutations of the LRP10 gene in patients with PD or DLB from Southern Italy. Sequencing analysis revealed only 2 missense and 3 synonymous variants in patients and control subjects and a rare variant p.L622F in a PD case. These results suggest that LRP10 mutations are not a frequent cause of PD and DLB in Southern Italy.

An annotated checklist of 51 Orthoptera taxa (Tettigonioidea, Pyrgomorphoidea and Acridoidea) of Kafa Biosphere Reserve, Bale Mountains National Park and some additional sites in Ethiopia is presented. Ten species are newly recorded for the country. Four species are new to science: Peropyrrhicia attilioi n. sp., P. keffensis n. sp., P. semiensis n. sp. and Coryphosima danieli n. sp. The status of Peropyrrhicia cooperi Uvarov, 1934 and P. scotti Uvarov, 1934 is revised: both are considered valid species.
