Quando è design è il titolo di un convegno che, per iniziativa di Paolo Fabbri, si è svolto nel Centro Internazionale di Semiotica dell’Università di Urbino nel settembre del 2018, e che abbiamo organizzato insieme a Dario Mangano con la collaborazione di Projekt (EA 7447), Laboratorio di ricerca in innovazione sociale attraverso il design dell’Università di Nîmes (Francia). Introduction: The Mediterranean diet is known to support the prevention of several chronic diseases and excessive weight gains. However, relevant investigations were performed in a clinical setting and healthy and physical active individuals were not considered. Korkeakouludiplomi on opetus- ja kulttuuriministeriön käynnistämä koulutuskokeilu, jonka tarkoituksena on selvittää nykyisiä korkeakoulututkintoja suppeampien koulutusten käyttökelpoisuutta työelämän ja opiskelijoiden kannalta. Korkeakouludiplomikoulutus alkoi syksyllä 2014 pilottihankkeena Jyväskylän ammattikorkeakoulussa ainoana korkeakouluna Suomessa. On t-covers in finite projective spaces

A t-cover of the finite projective space PG(d,q) is a setS of t-dimensional subspaces such that any point of PG(d,q) is contained in at least one element ofS. In Theorem 1 a lower bound for the cardinality of a t-coverS in PG(d,q) is obtained and in Theorem 2 it is shown that this bound is best possible for all positive integers t,d and for any prime-power q.
Classification of n-dimensional subvarieties of G(1, 2n) that can be projected to G(1, n + 1)

A structure theorem is given for n-dimensional smooth subvarieties of the Grassmannian G(1, N); with N >= n + 3, that can be isomorphically projected to G(1, n + 1). A complete classification in the cases N = 2n + 1 and N = 2n follows, as a corollary.

Abstract It is shown that a finite linear space with maximal point degree n + 1 can be embedded in a projective plane of order n, provided that the line sizes are big enough.

Abstract We describe how to attach a weighted graph to each stable map from closed surfaces to projective plane and prove that any weighted graph with non negatively weighted vertices is the graph of some stable map from a closed surface to the projective plane.

Projective spaces on partially ordered sets and Desargues' postulate

We introduce a generalized concept of projective and Desarguean space where points (and lines) may be of different size. Every unitary module yields an example when we take the 1-and 2-generated submodules as points and lines. In this paper we develop a method of constructing a wide range of projective and Desarguean spaces by means of lattices.
