Väestön ikääntymisen myötä eläkeikäisten ihmisten rooli on noussut tärkeään asemaan myös vieraiden kielten oppimisessa ja opetuksessa. Ikääntyneitä oppijoita on kuitenkin tutkittu Suomessa vielä valitettavan vähän. Poikkeuksena mainittakoon Aino Jaatisen (2003) paljolti omaksi avukseen laatima tutkimus ikääntyneistä englannin oppijoista, jota on käytetty pohjakirjallisuutena myös tässä tutkielmassa. Tämän proseminaarityön päämääränä on ollut kartoittaa vieraiden kielten opettajien havaintoja iäkkäistä oppijoista sekä heidän mahdollisesti käyttämiä opetusmetodejaan. Students with specific language impairment in English education : English and special education teachers' perceptions

Tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli selvittää englannin opettajien ja erityisopettajien kokemuksia englannin opettamisesta oppilaille, joilla on kielellinen erityisvaikeus (aikaisemmin dysfasia, englanniksi specific language impairment). Tätä aihetta on tutkittu Suomessa hyvin vähän, mutta maailmanlaajuisesti aiheesta löytyy joitakin tutkimuksia (ks. esim. Malinen ym. 2013, Dockrell ja Lindsay 2001 & Brackenreed 2010). Kielellisestä erityisvaikeudesta on saatavilla runsaasti tutkimusta ja tietoa, mutta opettajien opetuskokemuksista sitä löytyy huomattavasti vähemmän. Tādējādi daudzas organizācijas un pētnieki aicina pielāgot izglītību, lai labāk sagatavotu skolēnus nākotnei, attīstot 21. gadsimta prasmes. Viena no svarīgākajām prasmēm, kuras izglītojamie attīsta, ir komunikācijas prasmes. Ņemot vērā, ka prasmes jāattīsta visos mācību priekšmetos, šī pētījuma mērķis ir noskaidrot, cik lielā mērā matemātikas mācību grāmata Zahlenbuch 4 sniedz skolēniem iespējas attīstīt komunikācijas prasmes.

Kielitaidon arviointiin vaikuttavat käsitykset kielitaidosta ja aikojen saatossa kielitaidon arviointi on muuttunut lähes mekaanisesta kielitaidon osa-alueiden mittaamisesta monipuolisempaan kielenkäytön arviointiin (ks. esim. Rea-Dickins 2012: 12). Adoption of the agri-environmental measures : The role of motivations and perceived effectiveness

This paper investigated farmers’ self-stated adoption motives and the perceived effectiveness of agri-environmental measures in Finland. The measures were classified into ten distinct categories according to their prescriptions. The adoption motives were related to contextual factors, production factors and perceived effectiveness of the measures, while effectiveness was further related to land use, input use and the final impacts. One of the main challenges faced by physical therapy (PT) students is to learn the practical skills involved in neurological physical therapy (PT). To help them to acquire these skills, a set of rubrics were designed for formative purposes. This paper presents the process followed in the creation of these rubrics and their application in the classroom, noting that students perceived them as valid, reliable, and highly useful for learning.
