In recent times thorough changes concerning the treatment of the wedding vows take place. One of the ways to create a positive approach to marriage seems to be a solemn observation of marriage jubilees .The paper deals with the historical process of the development of the forms of observance concerning wedding anniversaries. However the main emphasis is put on the rites of wedding anniversary in post conciliar liturgical books. The reader may also become aware of the idea and history of pilgrimages organized on the occasion of the silver and golden marriage jubilees, considering also a strong and clear testimony to the importance of the wedding vows.

Started on 17th August 1977 the Opole Walking Pilgrimage to Jasna Góra was a result of many centuries oftradition of dévotion to Our Lady ofCzęstochowa in the Opole region. After érection ofthe apostolic administration ofthe Opole Silesia in 1945 and Opole diocese 27 years later preparing the whole-diocese pilgrimage was impossible because oftwo factors: political context ofthe PPL and reluctance of bishop Franciszek Jop to provoke the government unfavourable towards the Church. Abstract This study entitled “Religious Tourism and Subjective Well-Being (SWB): An Empirical Analysis in Hajj Pilgrimage” investigated the influence of religious tourism on subjective well-being (SWB) in the case of Hajj pilgrims. The primary aim of the study was to investigate the geographic, demographic and socio-economic factors that may have considerable effects on the Hajj pilgrims’ well-being and life satisfaction.
