Landis-type conjecture for the half-Laplacian
2023
In this paper, we study the Landis-type conjecture, i.e., unique continuation property from infinity, of the fractional Schrödinger equation with drift and potential terms. We show that if any solution of the equation decays at a certain exponential rate, then it must be trivial. The main ingredients of our proof are the Caffarelli-Silvestre extension and Armitage’s Liouville-type theorem. peerReviewed
Peiffer product and peiffer commutator for internal pre-crossed modules
2017
In this work we introduce the notions of Peiffer product and Peiffer commutator of internal pre-crossed modules over a fixed object B, extending the corresponding classical notions to any semi-abelian category C. We prove that, under mild additional assumptions on C, crossed modules are characterized as those pre-crossed modules X whose Peiffer commutator 〈X, X〉 is trivial. Furthermore we provide suitable conditions on C (fulfilled by a large class of algebraic varieties, including among others groups, associative algebras, Lie and Leibniz algebras) under which the Peiffer product realizes the coproduct in the category of crossed modules over B.
Fixed point theorems in generalized partially orderedG-metric spaces
2010
In this paper, we consider the concept of a $\Omega$-distance on a complete partially ordered G-metric space and prove some fixed point theorems.

Il legittimo affidamento nel bilanciamento della Corte costituzionale e della Corte europea dei diritti dell'uomo in materia di retroattività legisla…
2018
The chapter examines the Constitutional Court's jurisprudence on legislative retroactivity, which is compared to the jurisprudential direction of the European Court of Human Rights. In particular, it is concerned with assessing the compatibility of retroactive laws to the so-called right to peaceful enjoyment of property, referred to in the European Convention on Human Rights.
Free Word Associations Correspond to Contiguities Between Words in Texts*
2005
A free associative response is the first word a person comes up with after perceiving another word, the so-called associative stimulus. People commonly associate hot to cold, church to priest, and hard to work. According to traditional association theory this behaviour is the result of learning by contiguity: “Objects once experienced together tend to become associated in the imagination, so that when any one of them is thought of, the others are likely to be thought of also, in the same order of sequence or coexistence as before” (James, 1890). This explanation has been rejected by cognitive psychologists who explain the production of associations as the result of symbolic processes which …
The Translation and Interpreting Competence Questionnaire: an online tool for research on translators and interpreters
2019
Despite the growth of research on translation and interpreting, measures of competence in such activities typically stem from informal, non-validated instruments. This scenario casts doubts on the ...
Variational measures related to local systems and the Ward propery of P-adic path bases
2006
Some properties of absolutely continuous variational measures associated with local systems of sets are established. The classes of functions generating such measures are described. It is shown by constructing an example that there exists a P-adic path system that defines a differentiation basis which does not possess Ward property.
Evolución histórica de la autonomía de la voluntad en el Derecho matrimonial
2021
The autonomy of the will or power of self-regulation of relationships derived from marriage is a subject that is on the rise and that we can qualify as novel. More and more couples are opting to proceed making use of this power to self-regulate both personal and property effects derived from their union or its future breakdown. In the Spanish legal system there is no precise and complete regulation of the subject, without all these figures being equally legislated, although all are admitted without any doubt by jurisprudence. In recent years there has been an evolution of Family law, traditionally very reluctant to give space to self-regulation. Our Constitution marks a turning point by cha…
‘It’s not a part of me, but it is what it is’: the struggle of becoming en-wheeled after spinal cord injury
2019
Many people who experience spinal cord injury become long-term wheelchair users. This article addresses the process of becoming en-wheeled through the case example of a disabled man called Patrick. An intrinsic case study informed by posthumanist developments was used. Within this design, Patrick and his manual wheelchair were the entangled participants of the inquiry.Interviews and fieldwork observation with Patrick were conducted. Qualitative data were analysed using the posthumanist notion of 'assemblages'.The results illuminate Patrick's struggle of negotiating a new embodied selfhood that includes the wheelchair. Patrick engaged in ableist rehabilitation after spinal cord injury to recu…
