Spatial conflicts betweem modernizations of railway lines and natural values A case study of Poznań - Szczecin railway line

2017

One of the most intensive processes in the development of Polish transport infrastructure is currently modernizing main national railway lines. One of them is the railway line between Poznan and Szczecin. During the realization of such projects there occur conflicts in fulfilling different ecosystem functions by landscapes. On the basis of the theory of ecosystem services these conflicts should be solved, and potential projects – optimized. The study evaluates natural values of the areas adjacent to the railway line Poznań - Szczecin within a zone of 250 m, and also identifies areas with varying conflict degrees for the realization of the modernization project. The most important areas of h…

This study examines parents’ experiences of the assessment and its outcomes in child welfare. The research question is as follows: What factors concerning the assessment process and context contribute to the outcomes of the assessment from the perspective of the parents? The realistic evaluation and program theory research give an evaluation research framework to the study. In the study 177 parents from seven municipalities who are clients of child welfare participated. Their families had experienced the assessment in child welfare. Various analysis methods were used: cross table, t-test, correlation, fac- tor analysis, hierarchical regression analysis, two-way variance analysis and the boo…

Starptautiskās aizsardzības saņēmēju integrācija Baltijas valstīs

2020

Fundamentals of Precision Agriculture

2023

Precision agriculture or precision farming is the targeted application of crop input according to the locally determined crop needs. Therefore, it is the geo-referenced application of crop inputs, whose rates should be those required by the crop. The most essential points of information about the topic being described are: overview; brief history of precision agriculture; theoretical basics of precision agriculture; precision agriculture cycle; geo-referenced measurement of within-field parameters; analysis and interpretation of geo-referenced data for mapping within-field parameters; spatially variable rate application of crop inputs; instruments for precision agriculture; current scenario…

LA DIR. 2020/1828/UE SULLE AZIONI RAPPRESENTATIVE E IL “SISTEMA DELLE PROVE”. LA PROMOZIONE DELL’INTERESSE PUBBLICO ATTRAVERSO LA TUTELA DEGLI INTERE…

2022

The EU Directive 2020/1828 is the arrival point of a troubled harmo-nization process on collective techniques for consumers’ protection, no longer limited to injunctive measures but also extended to redress ones. The essay focuses on the two provisions dedicated, respec-tively, to the binding effects of jurisdictional/ administrative decisions as well as to the exhibition orders. The Author stresses how, through those legislative measures and despite the uncertainties still related to the ongoing implementation process, a European Regulatory Pri-vate Law enforcement is being shaped more and more oriented to the consistency between its “private” and “public”dimension.

Current status and development of sanitation and wastewater treatment in the national and international context

2012

Greenhouse gases from membrane bioreactor treating hydrocarbon and saline wastewater

2015

The effect of wastewater salinity and presence of petroleum hydrocarbon on N2O emission was investigated in a membrane bioreactor, in which the anoxic and aerobic zones were put in series according to a pre-denitrification scheme. The pilot plant, was continuously fed by a mixture of real and synthetic wastewater. It was operated with a first phase of acclimation of the biomass to a given salinity by gradually increasing the salt concentration from 10 gNaCl/L to 20 gNaCl/L, and to a second phase of petroleum hydrocarbon dosing at 2 g/L (as gasoline). The first phase revealed a clear relationship between nitrous oxide emissions and salinity due to the increased NO2-N production caused by the…
