Autoimmune thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (iTTP) is a life-threatening, relapsing disease in which an acquired deficiency of the enzyme ADAMTS13 leads to generalised microvascular thrombosis. Among mindfulness measures the three constructs acceptance, decentering, and non-attachment are psychometrically closely related, despite their apparent semantic differences. These three facets present robust psychometric features and can be considered core themes in most “third wave” clinical models. The huge wealth of properties that we have built in many years in our cities and peripheries, convinced that it was capable of generating value, today is largely degraded, underused or disused but it represents a stock of heritage that could be fundamental to feed a dynamic and flexible view of legacy capable to influence our design culture. The challenge presented is how to shift the development asset from real estate capitalization to a knowledge economy where disused assets are offered as common stocks and enabling platforms for collective actions.

Challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic and design responses in public space: Towards strategies for resilient post-Covid cities

The Covid-19 pandemic triggered governments and designers to revalue and redesign public spaces. This paper focuses on the various design responses to Covid-19 proposed and implemented in public spaces. In particular, we identify the kinds of challenges that such design responses address and the strategies that they use. We selected 56 design examples, largely collected from internet sources. By analyzing the design examples we identified five Covid-related challenges that were addressed in public space: sustaining amenities, keeping a distance, feeling connected, staying mentally healthy, and expanding health infrastructures.
