The work is presented as a reading tool aimed at analysing the relationship between signifier and signified in the animal metaphors in the orations of Libanius of Antioch. Greek man in animals isolated psychological manifestations in which he recognised his own. A prominent place was occupied by animals 'symbolic' of positive or negative qualities. Several such symbolic figures appear in Libanius' writing: the wolf is an animal-symbol, which emerges above all other animal metaphors due to the variability of its referents (from the governor to members of the claque) .

The article presents literary images of Tatars, which can be found in two poetic novels by the forgotten Romantic author, Tomasz August Olizarowski (1811-1879). The first of them, printed in 1836, is Krzyż w Peredylu. Pieśń wołyńska (The Cross in Peredil. A Volhynian Song), published for the second time in a revised version as Topir-Góra. Powieść wołyńska. This paper deals with coins in circulation in Roman Spain during the Imperial Period (I-IV cent. AD). New archaeological data and hoards indicate that coins survived and remained in use much longer than the periods into which they are traditionally grouped according to the date of minting. During this period the coins used in ancient Spain proceeded entirely from abroad reflecting the vicissitudes of Roman state production, with some notable provincial and urban characteristics.

El trabajo se estructura en cinco apartados en los que el paradigma de Fineman es sucesivamente contextualizado, proyectado sobre la jurisprudencia del TEDH y comparado con otras contribuciones críticas al Derecho antidiscriminatorio. El trabajo finaliza con una breve conclusión en la que, aun reconociendo la validez del diagnóstico y la loable finalidad que mueve la teoría de Fineman, pone en duda la virtualidad de la misma como inspiración de un nuevo y necesario concepto de igualdad jurídica.
