The chapter aims to show that dignity is not an empty concept but it adds something to other values and this is reflected in Dworkin holistic approach to values. Last Dworkin's project is to transcend the language of rights to a new political perspective in which responsibility and virtues are crucial. But this is problematic for Dworkin's engagement to liberalism.

Multidrug resistance (MDR) is a property of various cells associated with the capacity to reject or efflux a wide range of potentially harmful substances out of the cell. Pumps that effect such efflux are membrane proteins and belong to the ATP- binding cassette (ABC) superfamily. Among the members of the ABC family two are conferring MDR, P-glycoprotein (Pgp) and the multidrug resistance-associated protein (MRP1). Despite advances in the nephroprotective treatment of T2DM, DKD remains the most common complication, driving the need for renal replacement therapies (RRT) worldwide, and its incidence is increasing.
