National audience; Si Léon Rosenthal (1870-1932) est encore connu comme historien de l’art ou pour ses fonctions de conservateur du musée des Beaux-Arts de Lyon, et bien que ses livres sur la peinture romantique soient encore lus, on a oublié son engagement de militant socialiste. C’est à ce titre que cet ancien normalien, promoteur de l’Art social et de l’Art à l’école, a publié plus de 170 chroniques dans l’Humanité fondée par Jaurès, où la rubrique artistique lui est confiée de 1909 à 1917. International audience; The Christmas rose (Helleborus niger L.) is widely distributed in Southern and Central Europe, and Slovenia is probably one of the centers of its diversity. The investigation was aimed at evaluating phenotypic diversity among selected wild populations in Slovenia and neighboring Croatia. Some of the analyzed traits expressed relatively very high variation (e.g., number of leaves per plant, number of inflorescences per plant). The variation ranges of some of the analyzed traits were found to be wider than those mentioned in the literature. International audience; My presentation will be devoted to the study of one remarkable Aesthetic controversy, the ‘Fleshly School of Poetry’ opposing Robert Buchanan, poet and, at the time, literary journalist, and some aesthetes including William Morris, Algernon Charles Swinburne and Dante Gabriel Rossetti. The controversy erupted when Buchanan published a violent attack, ‘The Fleshly School of Poetry’ under the pseudonym of Thomas Maitland in the Contemporary Review in 1871, and lasted, I’ll argue, until the early 1880s.
