International audience; Development of analogical reasoning is often explained by general maturation of executive functions. A consequence of the involvement of executive functions would be that children and adults differ in the visual strategies they apply when solving analogical problems. Since visual strategies can be studied by means of eye-tracking, we compared the visual scanpaths of children and adults in three different analogical reasoning tasks. This study investigated Grade 2 teachers' (N = 50) professional vision through eye-tracking methodology and retrospective think-aloud interviews. The study examined the extent to which teachers' knowledge-based reasoning explains their visual focus of attention to whole class and individual students. We found that teachers' descriptions of students' social relations and emotions associated positively with teachers' visual focus of attention to the whole class. This paper aims to analyze the concept of fear in La main du diable, a movie of Maurice Tourneur. The film shows the Faustian pact between a bad artist and the devil. The pact concerns a wretched hand, and the obsession that will lead the protagonist to free it. The director has been able to show two kinds of fear, which, taken in isolation, seem to be a chiasm: the fear of death, which is afraid of a condition of life that leads to death (misery, failure, lack of love), and the fear of life, which is afraid of eternity, of an eternal suffering, of a life that does not remedy the loss of one's being. Artikkelissa tarkastellaan lukiolaisten historiallista päättelyä tutkivan historian oppimisen viikolla tuotettujen tekstien kautta. Viikon aikana opiskelijat selvittivät ratkaisematonta historiallista tapahtumaa juhannukselta 1957. Tuolloin tasavallan presidentin kesäasuntoa kohti ammuttiin laukauksia, joiden tehtävä oli joko pelotella tai murhata presidentti Urho Kekkonen. While the concept of a conscious machine is intriguing, producing such a machine remains controversial and challenging. Here we describe how our work on creating a humanoid cognitive robot that learns to perform tasks via imitation learning relates to this issue. Our discussion is divided into three parts. First, we summarize our previously-detailed framework for advancing the understanding of the nature of phenomenal consciousness. This article focuses on skilled migration flows from Southern Europe into Mexico. From semi-structured interviews with Spanish and Italian immigrants living in four Mexican cities of Mexico, it addresses both reasons for immigration and labour incorporation in Mexican labour markets. Specifically, it explores: i) the role of the economic crisis and the lack of good employment in the countries of origin as a key factor when deciding an international migration; ii) the employment opportunities offered in Mexican labour markets for the highly-skilled immigrants, and iii) the role played by the Mexican state and its current immigration law when channelling this group into the labour market
