The stance toward big business was a heated topic during Britain’s 2015 legislative campaign that led to the triumphal, albeit slightly unexpected, reelection of David Cameron, as Prime Minister. More profoundly, it raises the issue of the economic impact of corporate tax cuts and the nature of business-friendly policies in the UK. Firstly, we investigate the electoral arguments on both sides of the political spectrum. The essay analyses individual dismissals for economic grounds and related remedies (art. 18 Workers' Statute after "Fornerno" reform and legislative decree no. 23/2015), and it highlights the neoliberal reading made by labour courts.

Immigrant status, gender, and school burnout in Finnish lower secondary school students : A longitudinal study

The aim of this longitudinal study among 9223 students from grade 7 and grade 9 (age 13–14 and 15–16) was to assess whether immigrant status and gender are associated with the level and change (slope) in school burnout among lower secondary school students in the Helsinki metropolitan area. Ninety-seven percent of the variation in school burnout was attributable to individual factors. Both the intercept (2.3, p < 0.001) and slope (0.5, p < 0.001) of school burnout were statistically significant. The slope showed increasing school burnout from grades 7–9. After many years of search, the only surviving copy of a collection of sermons with a chronicle (965– 1618), which was printed and published in Leipzig in 1619 by Wolfgang Silber, the parson from Greiffenberg, Lower Silesia, was discovered in 2016, within the international programme “The Silesian Cultural Heritage.” The first part of the article includes information on the life and creation of the sermon’s author and presents the historical and cultural background of the book, with references to the municipality and the church.
