I nuovi scavi a Villa Santa Marina

Nel lavoro si presentano i risultati dei saggi archeologici effettuati in località S. Marina, Petralia Soprana (PA) negli 2013 e 2014, nell'area di una villa rustica di età romana. Si sono individuate due fasi di uso di alcune strutture che circondano un grande cortile porticato su un lato: la prima di età imperiale; la seconda post antica (necropoli).

Alcuni studiosi hanno isolato, nel corpus verghiano, luoghi nei quali è possibile riconoscere riferimenti impliciti a dinamiche mafiose o “protomafiose”, ovvero a codici culturali e antropologici ascrivibili a un più generico “sentire mafioso” (in alcuni episodi del Mastro-don Gesualdo o in novelle come Cavalleria rusticana e La chiave d’oro). Anche grazie al contributo di alcuni studi recenti, questo intervento intende provare ad aggiornare il dibattito, rinnovando l’attenzione al contesto politico e culturale in cui maturò la svolta verista verghiana e tornando a riflettere sulle oscillazioni tra pittoresco e antipittoresco del Verga siciliano.

Atzīmējot Andreja Pumpura eposa “Lāčplēsis” 135. gadadienu, kas aprit 2023. gada jūnijā, Humanitāro zinātņu bibliotēkā tika izveidota izstāde "Lāčplēša tēma latviešu apziņā, literatūrā, mākslā un LU mācībspēku pētījumos". Eposs tika publicēts 1888. gada jūnijā saistībā ar Trešo Vispārējo latviešu dziesmu svētku norisēm. Darbs tapis, sintezējot teikas, pasakas un laikabiedru priekšstatus par senatni, saskaņā ar 19. gs. nacionālā romantisma idejām Eiropā laikā, kad eposa esamība tika uztverta kā nācijas eksistences apliecinājums. Izstāde izkārtota 4 plauktos. Pirmajā plauktā izstādīts eposa 1888.gada izdevums. Otrajā plauktā redzami Latvijas Universitātes mācībspēku pētījumi, skatot Lāčplēsi …

Impacts of climate change involve the interactions of multiple stressors on intertidal organisms, but rarely are the impacts of these stressors examined together. Many tests are also conducted in artificial, controlled laboratory conditions, without making use of natural opportunities to test performance of organisms under different environmental stressors. Lime and cement industry belongs to the best developed branches of industry in Opole Voivodeship. The plants are located in eastern and central part of the province, in the vicinity of the city of Opole and the towns of Krapkowice and Strzelce Opolskie due to the location of the resources of calcareous raw materials (limestones and marls).The impact of lime and cement industry on the natural environment, especially soils, was studied by many authors, but these works do not concern the Province of Opole, which is one of the main centers of lime and cement industry in Poland for centuries.
