The PlTα2 is a sea urchin Paracentrotus lividus gene coding for a neural isotype of alfa tubulin. Expression of Tα2 gene is temporally activated from the blastula stage and spatially confined to the neural territory of the embryo. In order to investigate cis-regulatory elements that control this spatio-temporal pattern we performed functional experiment microinjecting several constructs containing different portion of Tα2 promoter. Moreover quantitative chromatin immune-precipitation experiments were performed to evaluate a possible involvement of chromatin modifications in regulation of Tα2 gene expression.

The increasing request for classic foods has led to a higher demand for cheeses enjoying a “recognition of quality” status. This phenomenon has also affected Sicilian dairy products, in particular protected designation of origin (PDO) “Vastedda della valle del Belìce” (VdB), a cheese traditionally available only during the summer season, but requested year round. The impact of periodic interviews on unemployment duration : Evidence from the 2017 Finnish reform

In 2017, a Finnish policy reform intensified the Public Employment Services' practice of periodically interviewing unemployed jobseekers. This study used high-quality administrative data to analyse the effect of interviews on unemployment duration. We used a difference-in-differences approach that exploited regional variations in treatment intensity. Our results show that a 10 percentage point increase in interview probability increased the monthly hazard rate of employment by 3.1 per cent, with the effect being strongest among jobseekers aged 25–34 and jobseekers with a low education level. Fish lice (Argulus spp.) are obligate ectoparasites, which contrary to most aquatic parasites, retain the ability to swim freely throughout the whole of their life. In fish farms, they can quickly increase in numbers and without effective control cause argulosis, which results in the reduced growth and survival of their fish hosts. The morphology of Argulus spp, including their sensory organs, is suitable for both parasitism and free-swimming.
