Farmers often grow only the few high-yielding crops in the area, and target maximum yields through high levels of inputs. These practices are based on the assumption of a positive relationship between productivity and profitability over a wide range of cropping systems (Woo et al., 2020; Erythrina et al., 2021). Part of the correlation between productivity and profitability could be related to differences in production situation and therefore yield potential, i.e. characteristics that do not depend on farmers’ decisions. Kvalitatiivisessa tutkimuksessani tarkastelin, mitä keinoja neljässä eri liikuntaneuvonnan palveluketjun kehittämis – projekteihin osallistuneissa terveyskeskuksissa käytettiin oppimiseen osallistamisessa ja miten työyhteisöissä oppimiseen sitouduttiin. Tutkimusaineistonani olivat hankkeen aikana kerätty dokumenttimateriaali, joka käsitti hankkeiden aikaiset terveyskeskusten vastuutiimien tuutortapaamisten kokousmuistiot (n=21), työmuistiot (n=10) ja tutkijatuutorin kokouksien havaintomuistiot (n=21). Literature on the automaticity of social behavior indicates that in some circumstances, priming a concept automatically activates related behavioral schemas. Previous research studies have used priming techniques to increase willingness to help, but most of these have simply measured intention to engage in prosocial behavior rather than real helping behavior. Two different studies investigated the effect of priming the concept of prosocial behavior on real helping behavior. This article reports on a qualitative investigation of Albanian students’ motives for preferring certain real-life situations to be used in school mathematics, and possible connections of these motives to characteristics and issues within Albanian society. It is based on realistic interviews with students from Grades 8 and 9 in a school in the district of Shkodra in northern Albania. Interviews were conducted after students experienced five teaching units which dealt with mathematics embedded in real-life situations.
