La mostra dal titolo "Lo studio Basile crocevia di arti e mestieri" apre al grande pubblico e anche agli specialisti la parte più privata dell'Archivio Basile, esibendo documenti, diplomi, onorificenze, strumenti di lavoro relativi all'attività di tre generazioni di professionisti. Tra gli oggetti mostrati: compassi, matite, agende, quaderni, fogli di lavoro e un prezioso disegno con le macchine di cantiere ad opera di Giovan Battista Filippo Basile. Dello stesso autore si esibisce un'inedita planimetria sulla sistemazione della piazza su cui avrebbe insistito il teatro Massimo, comprensiva di un rilievo dello stato di fatto, prima dei lavori di demolizione.
Superconductivity explained with the tools of the classical electromagnetism. Educational path for secondary school and its experimentation.

The work of this thesis describes an educational path for the presentation of superconductivity at the secondary school, together with the experimentation of some particular parts of the path with high school students. The educational path that we have developed is mainly centred on the phenomenological aspects of superconductivity and has been inspired by the two fluid theory of Gorter and Casimir (1934) where a superconductor is seen as a material in which two fluids are present, the normal fluid described by the Ohm's laws, and the superconductive fluid descibed by the London equation (1935). On the occasion of EDRA50 Brooklyn, held at NYU Tandon School of Engineering and devoted to the topic of “Sustainable Urban Environments: Research, Design and Planning for the Next 50 Years”, it was decided that a collateral program of sustainable art activities could widely enrich the conference impact and scope. Furthermore, it provided an interesting opportunity for conference attendees, mostly involved in the fields of research, education and planning, to discover projects or ideas that spring from creative practice and evaluate emerging trends such as the visual arts devoted to sustainability.

This article examines the relationship between fiction and reality in the opera according to the approach of Rousseau and Diderot. The ambiguous and contradictory definition of this relationship brought Rousseau to remove the singing from the opera and to invent a new genre, the "mélodrame". It was a very paradoxical solution that Diderot could have shared as this article tries to prove.
