Abstract Analysis of new psychoactive substances (NPS) still poses a challenge for many institutions due to the number of available substances and the constantly changing drug market. Both new and well-known substances keep appearing and disappearing on the market, making it hard to adapt analytical methods in a timely manner. In this study we developed a qualitative screening approach for serum samples by means of liquid chromatography--quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry. Ievads. 2012.gada veiktajā pētījumā tika iegūti dati, ka Latvijā Helicobacter Pylori (HP) izplatība pieaugušo populācijā ir augstā līmenī – 79.21%. The aim of this work has been to apply and improve the efficiency of molecular tools for the identification of Cyperus sp. from difTerent sources. Total DNA was extracted from fresh, degraded and ancient specimens. DNA molecules were the template for in vitro amplification of specific target regions referred to rcbL plastid gene (ribulose-l,5 -biphosphate carboxylase/oxygenase large subunit). Dedicated DNA extraction and amplification protocols have been applied specifically for fresh/degraded and ancient samples. Este trabajo estudia la estructura factorial del BSI-18, utilizando analisis factorial confirmatorio (AFC), su fiabilidad y validez convergente, asi como su invarianza factorial a traves del sexo. Comparing different application procedures of the water drop penetration time test to assess soil water repellency in a fire affected Sicilian area

Abstract The Water Drop Penetration Time (WDPT) technique was applied in two subsequent years (2016 and 2017) to check surface soil water repellency (SWR) in a Sicilian mountain area affected by a wildfire on June 2016. A total of 93 sites were sampled and from 3 to 100 droplets were used to characterize a site. The detected SWR varied with the severity of the wildfire, being practically absent in the unburnt control area and slight to extreme in the burnt areas. The percentage of extremely repellent sites increased with wildfire severity. Maģistra darba temats ir “Darba samaksas un darbaspēka nodokļu salīdzinošā analīze Baltijas valstīs”. Darba mērķis ir darba samaksas un darbaspēka nodokļu salīdzinošo analīzi Baltijas valstīs, konstatēt atšķirības un izstrādāt priekšlikumus Latvijas darbaspēka nodokļu sistēmas uzlabošanai. 2018. gadā Latvijā tika veikta viena no būtiskākajām nodokļu reformām pēdējos gados, kura skārusi tieši darbaspēka nodokļus. Arī Lietuvā 2019. gadā tika veikta nozīmīga nodokļu reforma, kuras rezultātā sociālo iemaksu nodokļu slogs no darba devēja tika pārlikts uz darba ņēmēju. The paper expresses an attempt to tackle the problem due to the presence of micropollutants in wastewater which may be able to disrupt the endocrine system of some organisms. These kinds of compounds are ubiquitously present in municipal wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) effluents.
